As Rami is an actor and his performance as Freddie was an "imitation" (as opposed to an interpretation) it seems to me that Adam's involvement in the project would be against all that he has tried to do over the years that he has performed with Queen. That he should follow-up with Queen with the Rhapsody tour makes complete sense. Adam and Rami are involved with Queen in their own unique ways, Adam in a far more interpretative manner. JMO.

Yeah if Brian May was suddenly like Adam Lambert!!! I am not sure what the response would of been LOL. I mean Adam himself has spent 7 years distancing himself from the Freddie thing. Bringing his own interpretation to the music. And of course he is a huge part of Queens legacy now. But a biopic that was ten years in the making. A film built on the legacy of Freddie Mercury. I am not sure based on what I have seen of Adam over the years. Would want to be involved in taking credit. He has seemed to purposely distanced himself, other than that one tweet. He had that minor cameo, but other than that. Rami is impersonating Freddie, and did a damn good job. Adam is interpreting the music in real time.

Ugh! What is wrong with these people? No one hid Freddie's sexuality. That Trailer started that nonsense (because of course you should tell his life story in a Trailer). People who probably did not even see the movie are going on with it. And some in the press are still trying to justify their original opinions. It was a PG movie but unless you are a young kid, I don't think you missed anything about his sexuality. The movie was about Freddie and his rise and the rise of Queen. I think they covered that. And hardly anyone was that concerned about Bryan Singer's involvement until they beat out their favorite and anointed one ASIB. www.msn.com/en-us/movies/celebrity/eighth-grade-star-brushes-off-cyber-bullies-after-backlash-to-bohemian-rhapsody-tweet/ar-BBRXrHN'Eighth Grade' star brushes off cyber-bullies after backlash to 'Bohemian Rhapsody' tweet NEW YORK — Elsie Fisher knows a thing or two about cyber-bullies, having played the social-media-savvy teen heroine of comedy "Eighth Grade." But on Sunday, the 15-year-old actress had an unfortunate experience with the real thing, after she enthusiastically tweeted her excitement over "Bohemian Rhapsody's" Golden Globe wins for best drama and actor (Rami Malek). "IM SO HAPPY RAMI MALEK AND BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY WON GOLDEN GLOBES," she wrote. "IM THRILLED TONIGHT IS THE BEST NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Fisher's elation didn't sit well with some Twitter users, given that "Bohemian" has been accused of "straightwashing" its subject, Queen frontman Freddie Mercury, who was bisexual. The biopic was also directed by disgraced filmmaker Bryan Singer, who was fired from the project during production following multiple allegations of sexual assault.

Looks like a "banana bag"! That's what is given to alcoholics or severely malnourished patients in the medical setting.

It was exactly the story that Brian and Roger wanted to tell. Could I critique what they said? Yes. Would I? No.

WEll it is all because of that trailer. As Freddie was bisexual, as portrayed in the film. His relationship with Mary was a HUGE part of the film. As she was a HUGE part of Freddies life. They also showed a ton of Freddies lovers through out the film. I am struggling to see the straight washing here. ITs like the media has a sense of entitlement. They wanted the film to exploit Freddie. Well I For one am glad they did not do that. They got the balance right.

Didn't need to see Freddie exploited. I also think that Sacha Baron Cohen put out bad information with his sour grapes over Brian not letting him turn Freddie into some caricature and some ran with it. I have so much respect for Brian for many reason but this was one of them.

Just a wild speculation, but maybe someone remembered this mentoring session and wanted to hear Adam sing the whole song rather than just a couple of seconds. youtu.be/DnEI9Rj35tgThis reminded me of the "improved" version of Adam's mentoring sessions by "Lambosessive," a super fan from the early days. It's really fun to look back, and the "improvements" are hilarious. Especially got a kick out of the mentoring of Blue Suede Shoes (in Part 2). Also, for someone looking to go down a deeeep, old rabbit hole, this same fan has dozens and dozens of videos under her name Lambosessed. (Don't hate me.) LOL!!! These are great!!!

It's not the strait washing complaints I'm seeing - it's the "movie makes being gay a bad thing" tweets or "she said he was gay so it's bi-erasure". Nevermind the gay love story that ends the film in a way that wraps it up from the very beginning, I swear they are just upset that gay promiscuity is possibly shown as a bad thing and the most baffling of all that they don't seem to realize that straight promiscuity would be frowned on too. It's like Freddie wasn't allowed to find love, he was just a sex machine ready to explode.

It's like Freddie wasn't allowed to find love, he was just a sex machine ready to explode. You nailed it! When I saw complaints about how the manager was portrayed, my first thought was there have been straight managers who abused and took advantage of their clients in one way or another. Elvis comes to mind. Kesha has made charges. Billie Holiday. We have heard these kind of horror stories for years and they are not normally related to someone's sexuality. But it was as if because the manager was gay in BR, he could not be portrayed as a bad influence cause it would make all gay people look bad. And the people who showed his bad influence were just homophobic.
