Such a fun day today, reading everybody's posts, tweets, watching old interviews and videos I hadn't seen in a while.
I can't remember exactly when I started watching Adam on AI, because I never watched the show, but I know it was before ROF. I clearly remember my reaction to that song "WTH" ??????? My dad is a Johnny Cash fan, so I was familiar with that song, just NOT that version of it lol. I remember always turning off the tv after his performances, wasn't interested in listening to anybody else. And I remember being sooooo pissed when he lost, and scared that I wasn't going to hear from him anymore.
Well, here it is 10 years later, and I'm still crazy about the guy and his voice, and his character and personality.
I can't wait to see what 2019 brings, and I'm really happy that he saw all the tweets about him today. He so deserves all the attention, after all the happiness he's brought us over the last 10 years.

Adam Lambert is the reason I joined Twitter. Adamtopia has been a constant. I don't post often but I check almost daily. I never watched American Idol. It was his first album that drew me in, in fact a co-worker showed me his music video of 'What do you Want from Me' so I looked for another and came across his Ten Commandments performance and then another and another and well here I am 10 years later. Totally in. I am so excited to be going to seem him this summer in Vancouver with Queen. I am taking my daughter. It's a well know fact to my friends that I am an Adam Lambert devotee, or 'nut', hahah. I have met so many of you and it's an additional perk to this wonderful fandom.

Thanks always to those who keep Adamtopia afloat, moderators, posters, data-keepers and the like. Every day that I can, I check on here. What a treasure everyone on here is. I watched Adam on American Idol and was just floored and captivated by him. Shortly after, my husband was sent to his fourth deployment to the Middle East, with the attendant worries, death of friends, etc.... then, came the final straw: my sister-friend was brutally murdered, along with all of her fawn colored mastiffs, leaving the black brindle mastiffs to come close to starvation and exposure to the elements. I was executor to her will, and I will say no more except that this was the third murder of a friend within a relatively short period of time, all on separate occasions. After these events, I woke up one morning, broken on the physical, mental, and spiritual level. Fortunately, I had good people to help. I couldn’t watch much tv because even a commercial might trigger my PTSD. But a friend suggested Glee as a nice pick-me-up. I missed Adam’s “ Marry the Night” performance, but I watched the other episodes, not even recognizing him until one episode, I said to my goddaughter that this character wasn’t even having to try and was out-singing even the regulars. She said that I ought to know that because that was Adam Lambert. Well, that was the sticking point for me. From then on, I searched for any and every Adam performance or interview and then, gloriously, with Queen. And how Adam has helped in the healing process, from his advocacy, his antics, and his diverse career with its opportunity to bless so many, me included. With these stories of healing that so many of you have shared , adding Adam’s role in this process and just for everyone in general, thank you for sharing. And to Adam in ways that words cannot express, blessings for many years to come! What a brutal time you have had. Glad Adam could bring some joy your way.

Just had to say thank you to everyone here for gathering all the bits of news about Adam. I enjoy reading through at least once a week and this is how I got tickets for two QAL concerts- through the kindness of folks here. I have been a huge fan of Adam’s since Idol. I don’t remember his audition, probably because I didn’t watch it- I had a small kid and time was super limited. But I remember vividly the Black or White performance- it was incredible and got me interested in watching the next week. By Mad World week I was convinced that Idol had never seen a contestant like Adam. By the finale I was fully aware of how incredible of a talent he is, and it was clear I was watching someone very very special. I remember thinking “this kid just outsung KISS on stage”. Then he sang with Queen and I got goosebumps. Having been a huge Queen and Freddie fan for a lifetime, I knew that it was rare to find someone who can step on stage with Queen and sound like that. George Michael was the last one I saw before Adam. I had no idea at the time that because of Adam I would get to see my idols perform live- a chance I would have never gotten otherwise. I am so very grateful to follow Adam’s music and career, and I will be there for any future performances I can. And I hope there are many of them. Much love to everyone here, and I’ll try to post more often (de-lurking has been hard).
