His screen name is ‚Administrator‘. He’s the boss. I think there's more than one Admin on there but the one I'm familiar with is JLP. I know he doesn't like Adam or at least doesn't like him singing with Queen if that's the same guy. No, not the same. Both are administrators. The boss (Nick) has the title ‚Administrator‘ and created the forum. He has the responsibility for more than the forum. JLP does the daily „dirty work“ of herding the sheep in the forum. With a few helpers.

My take on the MM/Adam debate. QEX came into being after Queen had stopped touring with Paul Rodgers. A generally less than fulfilling experience i gather. Bri and Roger had their opportunity to reunite and recreate some of Queen's glory, but I am guessing there was something missing. So, Bri and Roger checked off that box and told themselves that it was time to let Queen slip into the past.
Roger came up with the idea of creating the ultimate tribute band, to keep the music in front of a live audience.MM auditioned and was picked to front the band. BUT NEITHER BRI NOR ROGER HEARD HIM AND THOUGHT, "DAMN! HE IS GREAT! LET'S GO BACK OUT ON TOUR WITH HIM AS FRONTMAN." And when they had the opportunity to perform at the European Music Awards and needed a frontman, they easily could have gone to MM. They didn't.
My point being, MM was never intended to be Queen's frontman. He was never considered. They weren't looking for a frontman for Queen when they auditioned him. Sorry, MM fans. Thems the facts.

I simply see it as two different things: the movie has nothing to do with QAL. It’s their story from the past. Furthermore, Rami is an actor, speaking as such about his job, which was to portray Freddie. Like he played Mr. Robot and other roles before. He will do other ones. His role in Queen is temporary. Adam on the other hand has been a member of the Queen family for the last 6/7years. That’s why he gets asked about everything Queen in interviews, including the movie. Maybe I would care more, if Rami was a musician. I actually find it much more astounding in a negative way, that Queen‘s Social Media Pages barely ever mention Adam. Take a look at their Official Instagram or Facebook pages. It’s like Adam doesn’t exist. Even when they tour, there is just an occasional pic, where he happens to be in the picture with Brian and Roger. I came across one of the men, who run Queen Official and is also responsible for the forum. He’s a longtime fan and doesn’t like Adam fronting Queen. He has been a roady as well on QAL’s first tours in 2014/15, when he did his daily news posts from behind the scenes. Very interesting, but he managed to ignore Adam almost completely for the whole tour, while writing about the concerts ect. He did the podcasts as well, which you can find on their site. Podcasts with Brian, Roger (several), Rufus, Neil, Spike, Tyler, Marc Martel and more. No Adam. Members of the forum have asked and started a thread for an Adam podcast. No answer. And that’s how they run Queen‘s social media: they ignore Adam. Queen is Freddie, Brian, Roger and John. Nothing else. If Rami has been close to these people while filming, it’s no wonder, that QAL doesn’t really play a role in his view of Queen. Hint: There are also members of the Queen family, who really like Adam. Mainly those, who get to know him personally on tour. But as I wrote above: not everyone. I think, the fans on the whole are more appreciative. But the absolute diehards are inside the Queen machine. And I would wish, Brian and Roger would change that to some degree. All tru and none of anyone’s attitude matters with the exception of Dr Bri, Roger, Spike AND General Ticket Byuing Public. QAL rolls on in all its glory, having greater and greater success with each tour! It is a thing of bueaty to see how the Rapsody Tour sold out everywhere! Some places within hours! People are ready to sit behind the stage, just to hear them! nica, I think you said it perfectly. It really doesn't matter who likes who better, or who is mentioned a lot, or who gets more social media coverage, etc. What matters is that the shows have sold out like crazy, especially since the movie. But even before that, they sold very very well. Brian and Roger are living their dream on their own terms. I don't think they thought any of this would really happen. But it did. And Adam has a job in the music business that is the envy of a lot of singers. A perfect storm talent and genius. And we are so lucky to be witnessing it!

Direct link to the story: That face. That face. That beautiful face! Adam has made so many friends along the way. And the most important thing is that they speak well of him after many years. He leaves a positive impression with everyone he meets. That speaks volumes about a person.

nightowl , you commented before I modified my previous post a bit haha. In general, I don't hold any sour grapes as I am not in other forums and thus am often oblivious of a lot of things and miss most of the nasty bickering. However, I just went on Queen Official and I only saw Adam's picture under the "live/upcoming shows" section, but no particular mention of Adam. www.queenonline.com/upcoming_shows - I would imagine that Brian and Roger have some input. May be they think it is smarter to not stir the pot too much and let things flow as they do. It has worked for them anyways. I remember that roadie from the QAL tour in 2014/2015 and his behind the scenes updates, and I actually liked his posts until I noticed that he never ever mentioned Adam, like he didn't exist. That was strange. And then he was gone anyways. It seems that Adam is not to everybody's liking, which is hard for us adoring fans to understand. The reasons are probably many - jealousy, loyalty to Freddie as the "essence" of Queen, and simply not liking Adam as the new frontman. He IS different from Freddie. Most Adam fans love him in this role, because we love him, and many Queen fans did come on board, but not everybody is thrilled. If(!) there is resentment toward Adam from diehards within the Queen machine, I can imagine that it is not easy for Adam to deal with it times. The adoring crowds at each concert should definitely make up for it, as well as their numbers in ticket sales around the world. At a point like this, I think about Adam's solo career. I strongly "Believe" in it. Oh, I believe in Adam solo and with QAL. And my post was just in general as an answer to the Rami topic. The people, who are running Queen’s Social Media, are fans, who work for Queen in „lower“ positions. On tour, the guy was usually not even in personal contact with the band. And when he was, I’m sure, he was able to behave properly and decently. So Adam most likely doesn’t feel any resentment while touring with Queen. Meaning: If you get the chance to accompany your alltime favorite band, would you tell them or their singer, what you really think about them? And if you get to know Adam personally, will these resentments based on prejudices even hold? 😉 Have you been at a backstage tour? One thing, that I noticed there was, with how much awe the guide and everyone else was speaking about the band. Adam included. They are stars. Even for them it’s still special to interact with them and some barely dare to talk to them. By the way: that roadie is still there, at Queen Online, just not with them on tour. He’s usually not a roadie, but has a different job. He took times off to work for Queen on these tours. I don‘t think, that Brian and Roger really look into the content of Queen Online. Brian has his own platforms and is occupied with so many things. And Roger doesn’t seem to be someone, who’s much online. I think, they trust in their team. You seem to know a lot of stuff - I don't. I am an Adam fan primarily, but I do like Queen music a lot. They were pretty much in their prime when I was a teenager in Germany. I have never been at a backstage tour, but have been to countless concerts. Hanging out at the Queen forums would probably stress me out too much, so I tend to stay away. Thanks for the insights though!! Much appreciated. It all seems good to me. Cheers!!
