Thank you, thank you, thank you wal, NoAngel, gelly, Lulu2365 and all others who posted pics, vids, tweets and other info! It was nice to wake up and see pics in yesterday's thread. And it's so easy to quickly check all "important" things in today's thread before hurrying back to work. Aawww, so sweet how proud Adam and mom are of each other. Yes the pics are so wonderful but what about that video?! Wow, lotsa words fr BB but something I've never noticed is Leila talking. Its seem apparent that her eloquent & articulate way with words is where BB gets it from. She also does hand gestures like he does. I just love how close their mother-son relationship is...and I bet, his mom's unconditional love is what helped him open up to her much easier than a lot of other gay people with their loved ones. It IS wonderful stanning such a wonderful guy! |

Lots of awesome press around this PFLAG event that also mentions the other cool awards Adam received and was nominated for.
I also noticed that unless he mentioned AI, the press really didn't. It was just "singer, Adam Lambert" yada yada yada....nice!!
The picture with the vodka bottle made me laugh. He does not look very serious and as the pics continue through the night, both he and Leila looking a tad more tipsy in each shot. The two of them are pretty adorable, really.
I continue to absolutely love that he has gotten involved on such a deep level with the LBGT civil rights movement. He is right when he states just how lucky he was and still is to have loving supportive parents that really helped him go from a gay, unsure teenage boy to a confident outgoing successful gay man. I too have loving parents that got involved with PFLAG when I came out. The organization really helped them, especially my Dad.
But some parents just can't get there. I know too many women who are unable to even mention their lesbian lover's name to their parents, who are forced to choose between their lovers and family of origin at every holiday and birthday. Adam is right to get involved, to join fight for equality and acceptance with his authentic voice in his own way for his community.
Makes me just love him even more if that's even possible.
