I'm not a big Jim C fan but I love this! Reckless shriek vs controlled wail! Love it!
And the SW Vevo is so beautiful! I can't wait for this DVD. The waiting is dangerous as I'm tempted to order more.

Sorry about the peeps that can't watch Sleepwalker yet. It has me in tears! It is my favorite song from the 2nd part of GN. I love everything about it. The tears are also because it is the anniversray of FS, this weekend, and I am starting to go into serious Adam withdrawal. Want.A.Concert.So.Bad! :-/ Well, in a few weeks you'll have a beautiful DVD of a concert to help with your withdrawal pains...

lol Ok I will say, while I don't know anything about Asperger's, *I* actually HAVE Tourette's and it does NOT cloud self awareness. LOL. I am very self aware indeed. Ok a little OT...*runs away* You certainly seem self aware, and have a great way of interacting with folks here on ATOP. I think the lack of self awareness is a symptom of Aspergers. If anyone is interested in Aspergers characteristics, check out: autism.lovetoknow.com/Aspergers_ChecklistIf you read over the list what is remarkable is that many of these characteristics are the polar opposites of characteristics Adam displays that we find compelling. Instead of having difficulty relating to others, reading their non-verbal cues, having a two-way conversation, and connecting with others with eye contact and concentration, these are all Adam's strengths, noted by almost anyone who has met him. It is a shame that James is being compared to Adam when he will only suffer from the comparison --- and in more ways than vocals.

You can interpret that as excited squeeing or annoying smugness. I'm fine either way. That show was out of this world and I can't wait to get my hands on the DVD. I mean, I would buy it anyhow (I am committed to keeping the boy in dimmers), but:

I guess part of the non- self awareness??? ETA: Cassie, in answer to your Blue Ray question, I would say it will not deter people from buying because not all videos get made in Blue Ray.

I guess part of the non- self awareness??? Given the diagnosis, even though he is high functioning, it's very likely that he just can't hear what he sounds like to other people. Very common with that disorder.

SInce I do not follow Idol, can someone please fill me in - from what I understand Durbin is now between the last 24 contestants? And from now on the audience will vote? When Adam was on the show wasn´t there 36 people and then the last 13? I am a bit confused by this voting system. They change it up from year to year. In most seasons, they have picked a top 24 and then audience voting whittles it down week by week to a top 12. I really didn't like the way they did it in Adam's year. They picked a top 36, which they divided into three groups of twelve. Three from each group went through after the viewer vote, and then the judges were going to pick three wild cards to make a top 12, but they decided to add one more wild card and make a top 13. What was unfair about that system was the way only three went through from each group. So if you were a strong singer in a group of strong singers, you might not make it through because there were only three spots open. Conversely, if one group consisted of more than its share of weak singers, a poor singer could get through simply because there wasn't much competition. Of course, there are always going to be unfair aspects to American Idol, so in the end it probably didn't matter. In fact, I know it didn't, because we got Adam that year and that's all that matters! Thanks for the info, Murly. It is funny, now every time this Durbin is discussed anywhere, Adam is mentioned too. With the exception of some haters in the most favorable way.

Is that the same vid where it talks about how he likes to write songs about hoars? LOL. If it's true and James is confident and all that crap then it goes to show he is playing up hi sob story to get votes. Ugh I am sorry but I do not like this dude and it has nothing to do with Adam. His personality rubs me the wrong way and his voice so far is like nails on a chalkboard. Please listen to ACIGC. I would sooo love a reaction from you!! Ugh, I can't even look at the guy. I don't have a rational explanation for it. I just don't want any of these wannabes invoking Adam's name, imitating his vocals, or singing anything he sang on the show. None are worthy.
