Damn skeptical about Adam at first, didn't enjoy his voice..... went to Q+AL London concert and he made me shut up and sing along with him from Another One Bites The Dust onwards.
I guess it's a matter of getting used to his voice and his style, once I got over that, he's actually pretty incredible and I'm thankful to him for giving May and Taylor another chance to perform Queen again

I'm a Queen and metal fan, I'll admit that there are a few places that Adam's vocals go to (the craziness) in AOBTD that give me an adrenaline rush. Can't deny also that he does WWTLF better

Same! From hate to like! Now I love Queen+Lambert. Don't mention, that I always have been adored Queen))

I was at their first US show in Chicago, in front of me were an old couple, looked like wife dragged along her husband who had his arms crossed the entire time for the first 2-3 songs. After the last song, wife wanted to make a move (to beat the crowd/traffic) but husband said to her "maybe there's encore, I ain't goin nowhere yet, this kid is incredible!"
I bet Adam won over many fans these past seven years. People just have to open-heartedly give him a chance.

Experienced the same with a guy and his teen son next to us on the floor at a Q+AL show. The dad wasn't too optimistic about Adam before the show. Three songs in, as we're all singing along and reveling in the atmosphere, he turns to me and yells, "This guy can f***'ing SING!" Both Brian and Adam have commented that everywhere they go, by about the fourth song, the skeptics have uncrossed their arms and are singing along and pumping the air.
For me, it 's been somewhat the reverse. I'm a longtime fan of Queen music but not old enough to see them live with Freddie. Bought tickets for their first NAmer tour after seeing the promo and knowing Adam would do great with their catalog. I came away from the first show just gobsmacked by Brian and Roger and the synergy they have with Adam. It's magical. Every person on and off stage who has a hand in these shows is at the top of their game, and what a joy to experience it. We'll be back in July!

Hard not to be sceptical about ANYONE who tries to follow Freddie on that stage! It took time for me too to give Adam a chance, now I've seen them 4 times and I'm the biggest fan. Adam does fit in so well, match made in haven! And those vocals!
Short tv performances like this do not show well how good he is with Queen, the real live shows are much more perfect, everyone who has been at their concert knows what I am talking about!

A friend of mine went to QAL concert with her dad and when Adam's closeup appeared on the mega 'Q' screen, her dad might have said it too loudly "HE'S GORGEOUS!!" He couldn't stop talking about the concert and how great Adam was on the drive home she felt so embarrassed that her dad was fanboying over Adam more than her lmao

@shinestarchest There are times that I'm rendered speechless by what he can do vocally. And I want to know where he stores the third lung. Have you heard the voice and guitar ad lib that Brian & Adam sometimes do before I Want It All? Two masters at work.

In short performances like this, we see his persona.
In concerts, we see his humble personality come through. He may appear showy and cocky and his voice doesn't suit Queen here, but in Q+AL concerts, all first impressions of him make a 180 degrees turn. He's personable and naughty and funny....
In one moment he makes you laugh, in another you find yourself singing along with him, then he hits you with such powerful notes you are left flabbergasted, then Freddie appears on the screen and you cry, then it's a celebration, then you go home hoarse throat and partly deaf but still singing We Are The Champions and loving and reliving every moment of the concert... Only Q+AL concerts can bring you down a memory lane and give you a roller-coaster ride of emotions like this...

sunshine stone ummm... What do you mean his voice doesn't suit? It's the most beautiful voice in the world and he sings so good! I mean 1:52 blows the roof off! 😭
