Good Day ALL, glad the mood on this board is better. I tip-toed in and out quickly yesterday. I like to know what is going on with Twitter pro and con here and that is all I will say about that except I mostly only come here so appreciate those that bring over the happenings...
RE" Monte vs Madonna/Adam
I asked him about that when we talked at one of the concerts. This is not his exact quote but my take paraphrase: What Madonna wants Madonna gets but likes playing for Adam better cuz gets more spotlight/solo time.
hahah, one other tidbit was then he went on to talk about "what if nobody wanted him" and about doing his own thing but was sort of joking around with the talk so it was lighthearted... I like Monte and think he is very talented.
So, will Madonna WANT Monte back... and what he will do who knows... Money not withstanding

Sounds like Monte may have to choose which tour to do. With a family of 4 kids and one income, I think he would be crazy to not choose Madonna. I'm sure that paycheck is many times what Adam can pay. I think I would miss Tommy more than Monte. As long as Adam is on stage, ultimately, I really don't care who is in his band. I am not sure I agree mys*&@^#r....seriously, in the long run, how many more tours is Modonna likely to have and how close together compared to Adam. If Monte chose Madonna over Adam, his sense of loyalty to Monte would decrease considerably...plus he would then have an allegience to whoever he replaced Monte with. Adam and Monte have never really 'played' together much from what I can gather so I believe this could put a really big strain on an already strained [it seems] relationship. [going by the Lisa fiasco and no 'friendly' social pics such as we see with the other band members]. JMHO...grounded in conjecture alone. I am just guessing, but I would think that one tour with Madonna would be equal to 2-3 tours, $$ wise with Adam. Adam, IMO, would completely understand Monte choosing Madonna. Monte also has a relationship with Madonna and 5 mouths to feed. It's all business and I believe Adam understands that. Rumor is Madonna is doing the Super Bowl which will be beginning of February. The answer may lie there.

Adam has worked with so many collaborators that it is really hard to figure out what is going to be on the album. It seems likely that these three tracks are on the album: Benny Blanco, Ricco & Co. Bonnie McKee, Josh Abraham, and Oliver Goldstein Pharrell Williams I think that OOL is likely to make the album. (BC Jean and Rune Westberg) We know Adam did a co-write with Tedder -- and Tedder usually gets a 1 track guarantee for an album. Adam could be an exception. Claude Kelly and Emanuel Kiriakou have a track that was recorded. It appears to be a co-write with Adam. Max Martin & Shellback - They wrote and produced Adam's two biggest singles. I would be surprised if RCA did not insist on a WWFM follow-up, Max Martin & Co would certainly be willing to write/produce another song for Adam, and Adam said he planned to work with them again. [IIHY vocals were recorded at Westlake Studios in LA, Adam was back at Westlake Studios a few times this Spring and Summer so could have been recorded there,] A lot of other collaborators have tweeted about working with Adam, including: Greg Wells Camilla Grey Alisan Porter, Joshua Bartholomew and Isley Juber Greg Kurstin Brett McLaughlin, Ferras, Lauren Christy, and Reo! Beats Sia Nikka Costa Toby Gad Zac Maloy (worked with Runn Westberg and Adam) And I am only up to April 2011 on the other collaborators list..... In other words, either this is going to be a 48 track triple album OR some big name collaborators did not make the album. So, in answer to the Ryan Tedder question -- he might not have gotten a track on the album. Wal - I think it would be interesting to copy Q3's post in the Adam2 thread - for comparison purposes if when the album comes out. Buder - I've done the same thing. I'm not on here (or anywhere) at night unless there's a livestream concert and these have been few & far between lately. LOL It's hard to get into the discussion unless you've read the entire thread from the previous day. I think I need to go through my files and the Adam #2 thread and see how much we really do know. Adam has said that he was not talking about the album at least 3 times, then told us more. Thankfully. But we have enough info to put together a potential track list. I know we will be missing a lot of "surprises" but there is more info than I thought. Plus many of these collaboration go back to March -- like Bonnie McKee cowriting sessions -- and that was one of the three tracks that Adam recently recorded vocals for. Clearly this album has been evolving as he goes through the creative process but seems like a lot of what he has mentioned recently started back in February and March.

Upcoming Madonna album offers plenty of surprises m.examiner.com/exChicago/pm_65779/contentdetail.htm?contentguid=oSrfiJ1xChicago reps for Universal Music Group claim Madonna is set to release her new album next spring. There is no album title yet, but one of the album’s strongest tracks is said to be a song called “Trust,” which was either co-written or co-produced with Sia. It is said to be like “Live to Tell,” but ten times better. Also, what does this mean as far as Monte playing for Adam's appearances and any upcoming tour? Will Adam need to find a new lead guitarist? Sounds like Monte may have to choose which tour to do. With a family of 4 kids and one income, I think he would be crazy to not choose Madonna. I'm sure that paycheck is many times what Adam can pay. I think I would miss Tommy more than Monte. As long as Adam is on stage, ultimately, I really don't care who is in his band. I agree. I could care less if Adam has ALL new band and dancers. I ONLY watch Adam. Several times, when I was right in front, one of the dancers or band might have caught my eye when they jumped up on the stool right in front of me but other than that - I only had eyes for Adam and I don't expect that to change on the next tour.

I guess it will all come down to how well they do with their albums and money$$$$$$ I don't even think it will come down to how well their albums do or don't do. Madonna is a worldwide Pop Icon, her tour WILL BE huge and it will play to huge stadiums around the world. That will mean more money for the touring band. Monte is a father and a husband, he has to consider that first. I'm sure Adam would respect that decision 100%.

I don't care who Adam's band members or dancers are, just so they do their job and support him well. I think this last tour group was good, but I have no allegience to any of them. Only Adam.

There are no confirmed dates for Adam's album, Madonna's album, Adam's tour, Madonna's tour. My bet is that Monte just wants someone to tour and pay him.
Regarding the relative pay on the upcoming tours -- Madonna would almost certainly pay more -- last tour she grossed $408 million in only 85 concerts. But there is a chance that if Monte was lead guitarist and musical director for Adam again, he would make more money -- smaller tour, bigger job.
When GNT started I thought Monte was essential -- oddly, having seem many shows, I think that Brooke is the more essential one. Nothing against Monte, but I would be thrilled if Zac Baird returned (and he kept Cam too) and was Adam's musical director.

I really enjoyed all the band and dancers and would love it if as many came back as possible. Following and getting to know the whole gang was part of the pleasure, for me, during the Glam Nation tour.
Obviously all must pursue the best professional opportunities and I'm sure Adam would understand regardless. There would always be opportunities to work together in the future, if not next year. I don't think Monte and Adam have burned bridges despite Lisa's twitter depredations. You can be professional friends without hanging out off stage ...
I don't know if it would be a consideration for Monte that his own solo career has benefited tremendously from his association from Adam. In Adam's world there is room for others to shine, and that is not true in Madonna's.
Also, don't know if it would be a consideration for Adam that Monte was the "musical director," which I gathered entailed managing and wrangling the band, equipment, etc. and keeping things on time. Seems like Monte did a great job there as well as on lead guitar.
I love Monte and hope we catch him on Adam's tour next time around.
