OT: The idiots at Westboro Baptist Church tweeted that they're going to picket Steve Jobs's funeral, and they used an iPhone to send the tweet. Yep, that's pretty much the definition of irony. One person's post in the comments at the Huffington Post article about the WBC made me laugh: "Why can't Obama just declare these guys a threat to America and shoot them all? I mean, sure, it would be a horrid abuse of power, but strangely I could live with it." I shouldn't find that so funny, but I do!!!   |

lmaoooooo.... me, too, durberville!!! Lol, read Neil's feed..  I just did...and maybe I misunderstood - thought you were alluding to the fanclub (ALF??) All I see on Neil's feed is about the Dreamer song or the Wall Street Sit In. sidenote: I don't like what I've heard of Dreamer...sorry. |

Sorry, but I don't understand the strong feelings about *all* the songs on Adam's album having to be original. If he wants to include a couple of covers of songs he loves, I don't see any harm. Especially since he has shown that he can make just about any song "his" with his voice and interpretation.  |

ETA: I don't understand what the Westboro idiots have against Steve Jobs. >:( What do they have against Jobs? He exists and he's not one of them. That's all it takes. But really... It's all about publicity. Google "Steve Jobs Funeral" and the entire first page of hits is all about the WBC. So all they had to do was make a tweet and they got priceless free publicity for their message of hate. I would like to strongly recommend NOT clicking on any links on this topic. WBC wants publicity more than anything else (They actually do not believe they are saving anyone because they believe in predestination). They will keep getting PR as long as we keep giving sites hits on stories about them. |

I wouldn't even mind him covering a well-known song because I know from Idol that he would do amazing things with it. I don't want an album full of covers (not until he's well-established as the iconic artist we know he will become!) but geez, I don't see how one cover is going to be a problem. And in this case, it's a cover of a song that is new to 99.9% of anyone who hears the album. |

So Adam DID a cover of "dreamer'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WANNA LISTEN TO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!  I hope this cover is not on his album - or any covers. I want new Adam music - not someone elses old used songs - whether it's a friend or not. It doesn't sound like an Adam song to me anyway. Just NO. ETA: I don't understand what the Westboro idiots have against Steve Jobs. >:( I have to respectfully disagree about doing covers. Celine Dion's first U.S., Canadian, and Australian number-one single was "The Power Of Love" a remake of Jennifer Rush's 1985 hit (Jennifer Rush was the co-writer of the song and she was better than Celine IMO but that's another story) So who knows? :D |

OMG... and there's gonna be ANOTHER bastard album coming out soon??!!!?? Well, I'm so totally desperate, I think this almost makes me happy.  Even if we actually get a single sometime in the next month-ish (and I've pretty much given up), you know what's gonna happen... it'll be picked up by a few radio stations for just a few days, and then we're gonna be deluged by Back Door Santa, Boogie Woogie Rudolph, Oi to the World, Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer, and Elf's Lament... idk, idk... and we won't even get to hear the single on the radio till January, anyway, when the whole Christmas thing is over and done with. just sayin'  I have been and trying to be completely zen about the music maybe not coming out in October or November or this year ever since his announcement that the album will be out early 2012. But just this this past week, I have started to get kind of desperate for anything new from Adam. I have been watching old interviews, promos, pre-idol, AI, post-idol music, GNT etc. just feel like I'm losing it, need some new appearances or something. Something is wrong with me. I was able to get involved with RL again for awhile, going out, watching movies, listening to other music, tv shows, games books, hanging out with friends family, etc., but now everything is just coming back to Adam, waiting for some news or just something from or about him. A bit frustrating..a little anyway as nothing is interesting me as it use too.. I completely sympathize with you! I feel something's wrong with me too. Everybody's always saying how stanning Adam has added fun and excitement to their already full and happy lives, but I feel as if I USED to have a full and happy life, but now I've lost interest in everything, it's all just faded, except for this one obssesion. Am I too depressing? :-/ I just needed to get it off my chest (and seems like I just needed for someone to say it first)... |
