I feel so bad for Adam ..Those money hungry bastards..I just wish the stuff didn't get on Amazon. On the Happy side OMFG ADam tweeted about a fashion shoot for his CD.. Cartwheels...... And why can't this bastard release on off years from Adam's real albums? NO! He has to screw up the release of the real album twice! kathleen, I want Dreamer on this album so badly. The thought of hearing Adam sing it gives me chills. I did, however, also love the funky Claude Kelly tune too.

I don't understand all this talk about covers of songs composed by others. Is writing one's own material a requirement reserved for pop/rock stars? Are country and rap artists also expected to compose all their own music?
I guess it is my background in classical and jazz that gives me a totally different perspective. Can you imagine a classical pianist saying, "I am not gonna play Bach or Chopin. It's been done. I am gonna just play my own classical music"? Can you imagine Ella Fitzgerald saying, "Gershwin and Porter wrote some songs that were good for their era, but I don't do covers"? Great music is great music. Great performers are great performers. Why would you not want to combine them?
The skill set, knowledge and talent to compose great music and lyrics is completely different from the skill set, knowledge and talent to sing beautifully and compellingly. Gershwin and Porter were geniuses at composing, but neither one of them could sing their way out of a paper bag. Just as I want Adam to work with the best producers, management, promoters and musicians to create new art, I want him to work with the best songs --- whether he writes them or someone else does. Adam is, first and foremost, a consummate singer. That is more than enough for me.

I have been and trying to be completely zen about the music maybe not coming out in October or November or this year ever since his announcement that the album will be out early 2012. But just this this past week, I have started to get kind of desperate for anything new from Adam. I have been watching old interviews, promos, pre-idol, AI, post-idol music, GNT etc. just feel like I'm losing it, need some new appearances or something. Something is wrong with me. I was able to get involved with RL again for awhile, going out, watching movies, listening to other music, tv shows, games books, hanging out with friends family, etc., but now everything is just coming back to Adam, waiting for some news or just something from or about him. A bit frustrating..a little anyway as nothing is interesting me as it use too.. I completely sympathize with you! I feel something's wrong with me too. Everybody's always saying how stanning Adam has added fun and excitement to their already full and happy lives, but I feel as if I USED to have a full and happy life, but now I've lost interest in everything, it's all just faded, except for this one obssesion. Am I too depressing? :-/ I just needed to get it off my chest (and seems like I just needed for someone to say it first)... Lol, well I'm glad to have made you able to get that off your chest. Well the thing is, for me, Adam has added to the joy and happiness in my life, BUT that was when there was a lot of things actively going on in the Adam fandom, not just behind the scenes. I was happy when I knew that things were going well, and sad when it wasn't, now I'm just down a little cause i don't know anything, heh.

I agree with this. I wouldn't even mind him covering a well-known song because I know from Idol that he would do amazing things with it. I don't want an album full of covers (not until he's well-established as the iconic artist we know he will become!) but geez, I don't see how one cover is going to be a problem. And in this case, it's a cover of a song that is new to 99.9% of anyone who hears the album. I remember the wank that Kris Allen got because "Live Like your Dying" was a cover of a song from The Script. www.youtube.com/watch?v=unzBo3m5N2IJust like the other night when WWFM was on "The Sing Off". They said it was a "Pink song that Adam Lambert made famous." I want the next album to be about Adam not Gaga....Pink...Muse... Kris was heralded as a "singer-songwriter". His fans were predicting that he would be the next John Mayer or Jason Mraz. : That's why there were issues with him doing a cover song as his first single and his second single being a song he didn't even co-write on. Adam will have songs on his album that he didn't write. Kelly Clarkson's CD ended up with only 5 co-writes, and she is a pretty decent writer. Plus, she has been writing her own songs for about 15 years now. I don't care who writes the songs or how many Adam co-writes on! I'm just ready for new music, AND I want 3 to 4 radio ready pop hits on the album! I would take another WWFM in a heartbeat! BTW, Adele has a cover song on 21. That doesn't mean she is any less of an artist.

The guy Adam is pissed at is Malcolm Welsford. And according to someone who spoke to Monte, he is saying that the Paramount Sessions album is being put out without his permission either. I have my own thoughts about Monte, but nothing to substantiate, and I'm going with cautious skepticism for now. LOL.
