A song written by another artist is different than recording a cover. Dreamer would be a cover because it has already been recorded and released. As opposed to say, Soaked, which was written by Muse never recorded or released by them.
I'm sure you already know that but I think the people who are objecting are objecting on the grounds that it has already been recorded and is on Uh Huh Her's album.
Me? I love the song and am dying to hear Adam sing it!

Having been lucky enough to be close to the stage at the Milwaukee GNT show when Adam writhed his way through WLL, I have no problems with him doing covers. At all. And... ahem... neither does my husband. Ahem.

adamlambert Adam Lambert I think both projects were mastermind (but I mind) by Malcolm Welsford. 37 seconds ago I have no clue if it means anything, but Malcolm Welsford was mentioned in the "thanks, love & gratitude" section of Monte's album notes. Adam and family are mentioned as well as lots of familiar names, including some fans. I love the song and am dying to hear Adam sing it! Interesting. So, it has to be "new." No one else can have recorded it. That means no one should release a new version of any of the extraordinary music written 10, 20, 50, 200 years ago. No new versions of "Yesterday," or "Feeling Good" or "Hallelujah" or "Beethoven's 9th" or "Nessun Dorma" or ..... Instead we get "Whip my Hair" and "Born this Way" and "Lazy Song." Sigh. I do not mean to disrespect anyone here on the board. We all have our opinions and choices about music. I, personally, have no talent or interest in writing songs. But, I sure enjoy interpreting the great songs from the last century. To each their own. |

Lol, well I'm glad to have made you able to get that off your chest. Well the thing is, for me, Adam has added to the joy and happiness in my life, BUT that was when there was a lot of things actively going on in the Adam fandom, not just behind the scenes. I was happy when I knew that things were going well, and sad when it wasn't, now I'm just down a little cause i don't know anything, heh. Well, I hope you're mood is better for the last 10 minutes :D - we got some info about a photoshoot yesterday! And all because Adam thought he can't tell his fans not to buy these bogus albums, without giving us something, anything. |
