My perspective on this is a bit specific as I work in PR in the EDM (Electronic Dance Music) industry that spent YEARS trying to break the association with drugs and the negative aspects of the rave culture. There are clear guidelines for our artists not to use any, even very loose, substance references on social media, videos, and public appearances, that includes pot that's legal in a number of states and provinces. And I dodn't doubt that all of them still manage to get their creative message across, or at least no one has complained. But then there was one producer who was like: "you guys can suck it" and made a track titled "Molly". LOL Fortunately he's not with my agency so we didn't have to personally deal with the fallout but the industry as a whole was not amused. We also tell out clients to never ever engage with Negative Nancys on social media. What it does, is make you look a) petty b) defensive. I always say, if you feel like answering to a hater, answer to 3 fans/positive messages instead, don't validate/reward negativity. For that reason, I hate it when Adam gets sassy in comments. Also, I don't get this whole "I do what I want" attitude/comments because it has the potential to come off as cocky and dismissive which, as some of the fan comments in the last 24 hours show, has happened here. Don't approach the masses as sheep, take them for granted and act like "you don't care" or roll your eyes when someone doesn't understands your slang. Not a good look AT ALL. Adam is a very caring man and certainly doesn't diss his fans.. I can't say the same for some of his fans .Can some fans just live and let live.. He is finally happy with his life.. be happy with our lives and not take every he does or says to heart.. It's nothing personal on his end.. Marijuana is becoming legal in many states... It's the times.. I have 5 grandchildren and each of them has been exposed to drugs in high school and college.. yes It's not good ,but it's real and happening. Adam is not responsible for the world's ills. He made a video.

where's Adam in all this??
Seriously... Like Rogers said, "Fred's not going to be there". I find that the media living in the past with the new tour just around the corner is, to quote Rogers again, "so unimaginative".
I find it rude and dismissive of Adam's role in helping Queen to re emerge

Which was promptly dumped following Aviici's suicide that followed his years of substance abuse.
Views indeed dropped after Aviici's death, but last month it gained 500k views per day again. In April 2018 it was 174k per day, but that was soon forgotten by the public it seems as in May the views per day were already back to 350k. kworb.net/youtube/video/foE1mO2yM04.htmlThe most views for Ghost Town in one day were 350k on 19 September 2015 (Rock in Rio Brazil).
That's online though. We heard from almost all major radio radio/TV conglomerates declaring they'd no longer play it on their stations. That almost guarantees you'll not her a concept like that again from any EDM artists.

I'm home today and have Adam Lambert streaming on Spotify -- should be easy as I have a few playlists and I'm cleaning and it's spa day for my dogs. Can't do any of that without music. The new music has grown on me. Like I said in an earlier post, I wouldn't have imagined this direction -- leave it to Adam to surprise me! I find it different and imaginative and, honestly, reminiscent of my youth. I think it is actually reminiscent of most everyone's youthfulness -- playful, hopeful, secretive, seductive. Gatherings that could be both naughty and nice, musical, idealistic. Conversations all fueled by excitement and various fuels. Lest we forget?

where's Adam in all this?? On the link it say's, As they prep for a massive tour with Adam Lambert in place of the irreplaceable Freddie Mercury, Brian May & Roger Taylor take stock, "we knew what we wanted" they tell Mark Blake "it was just a question of getting it". That coupled with the quote on the front of the mag saying "Freddie didn't want us to stop" leads me to suspect there will be a part about their collab with Adam.

Here in the Netherlands we apparently don't care. It's still in rotation on all the radio stations. They play it several times a week.

Yes, I'm talking strictly Canada, US and Mexico as that's the region the agency I work for covers.
