What if Monte didn't realize that you were quoting from that web page and somehow thought that you were saying all that? Would it then change how we interpret his dm's to you? I don't really trust Monte but I'm just trying to think about alternative scenarios. Not sure how I feel about M yet.. but, will wait and see.. I have to agree w/ the alternative scenario that maybe he didn't realize that you were quoting the web site.. What about DM'ing letting him know about the website? Is that possible.. sheesh I am not getting my grass cut today thats for sure.. *hangingheadinshame* I modified by post above because I don't want Lulu2365 to think that I doubt her in any way. I'm just trying to make sense of Monte's dm's because I don't understand what he means with the one in the middle. |

Lulu I see nothing at all wrong with your tweet. In fact, I consider it mild compared to some of the others I saw. I even kind of admire you for asking that question of Monte! :D
I do see something wrong in Monte's response dm's, especially the first one. It sounds a little threatening to me. I also think it's out of line for him to dm. You asked publicly, he should have replied publicly and in a more responsible manner.
As for the third dm, I think it would have been wise for Monte to get all his facts together a long time ago. Maybe if he had, he wouldn't be losing so much respect right now.

I am certain that the producers, Malcolm Welsford & Michael Burtscher, are actively involved in the release of these recordings.
Monte has said he wanted the CV recordings released in the past, so I would not be surprised if he supports this release but I wish he would make a statement with his ALL the facts in it. But Monte does not own the rights to these masters and really didn't have the power to release/not release them. As far as I can determine, Malcolm Welsford owns the master recordings.
In the meantime, I will withhold judgment on Monte's role.
ETA: However, I think Monte's Tweets to Lulu were rude and uncalled for.

I don't see where any of you are seeing anything "threatening" in Monte's tweets. Sounds like trying to warn people not to jump to conclusions before the facts are known and if the fans are spreading a lot of false information that could be damaging. Someone explain to me how any of those tweet equal any kind of threat.
