OK I have what I believe is the track list for BFM -- from the distributor. The songs are registered as written by Lambert-Pittman. A couple are under alternate titles. 1. BEG FOR MERCY 2. ROUGH TRADE 3. THE CIRCLE (registered as "Complete") 4. TURNING ON 5. JUST THE WAY IT IS 6. SACRIFICE 7. POP GOES THE CAMERA (registered as "15 Minutes of Fame") 8. MP3s KILLED THE RECORD COMPANIES
9. CRAWL THROUGH FIRE10. RUN AWAY At least it has two of pre-Idol pop-rock tracks are on the album. I refuse to buy this, but I might steal a few songs. I don't believe for a minute that Adam will get a penny for this because if he owned any of the rights, he would be able to stop it. Adam has 50% or more of the songwriter credit on these songs -- he will get mechanical royalties as the songwriter. The rate is set under US Law. There should also be additional royalties for the performers -- Adam prob gets a 25% share of the band portion (4 members). This is different than Take One because it was recorded under a recording contract and Adam should also get additional royalties from it if it makes a profit. Take One was session work -- Adam and the musicians were not entitled to any royalties. Finally, when a band or artist signs a recording contract for recordings of their own songs, there is a standard provision to grant the recording company (label) the right to release the music. |

It was clearly a dodge and Max has not been mentioned by anyone for months -- only at the odd awards ceremony when Adam and Kesha gave the awards to Max and Dr. Luke. Yes, he maneuvered around that question well..dodge for sure and well-played, Adam! Of course, he also picked this question -- which is the odd part. I can't wrap my head around this one. |

I hope Adam realizes that a lot of those "crazies" are young people. He is used to a theatre audience and his fans now that he is an "international rock star" and an adult are much different than he is used to. The age range alone and the educational and political backgrounds of some of the fans are so far apart. Just trying to communicate with all of the differences has to be hard. I hope he isn't taking all of that craziness to heart. Sauli too. Poor Sauli.

This puts the situation in a different context for me. I still think how this is being marketed and when is sleazy and underhanded. I still understand why Adam does not want this released. But, if he signed a contract giving them the freedom to do it, and if he will receive compensation, then..... the guy does have a legitimate right to release it. It could be like an unknown, young artist selling a painting at an outdoor market for a few bucks. Twenty years later, the artist is fully mature, has a completely different style, and is mega-famous, selling his works for prices in the six figures. Then, the buyer of his early work decides to auction it off for mega bucks as well. In that case, people would say he was a wise buyer who had an eye for talent. He made a great investment and it is his right to cash in. It pains me to say this, as I want what Adam wants, and he doesn't want this released. But, I can't condemn the guy for releasing the tracks. Just for the unethical, sneaky, slimy way he is doing it. |

I like Tommy but I do not understand why he won't just come out and say he's not in a relationship with Adam. Adam's tweet to him is basically asking him to do this. Have to say it has annoyed me tonight and makes me think less of Tommy. Part of me thinks he likes the attention of the crays and is afraid to upset them too much.
ETA: LMAO just saw Tommy's latest tweet. BRAVO TOMMY I take it all back. Now that is what I am talking about!!!
