I think it comes out of the promo budget, but like with most events these days, they also get sponsorships to pay for a lot of the elements. The venue will often negotiate to a low rate because of the celebrity exposure, etc. The alcohol companies will donate product for well-placed product placement and name visibility. The home radio station might pay a premium to be considered the "host" station and its logo will be visible throughout, including appearing on the repeating wall behind the red carpet, etc. Other fashion, luxury and related products might donate to the gift bags, etc. because they too want to introduce their products to radio PDs so they can get an on-air shout out, etc. Yes, makes sense. And the promo budget is ... Label? Management? Both?

Me too. I've seen alot of posts today about "dead horses" but only a few who have legitimately tried to start new conversations. I know that some of you aren't comfortable with yesterday's convo but I still believe that those that want to discuss it should be able to without being pressured to move on. JMHO YMMV Scrolling is my friend Just a reminder --- we have a rule that essentially prohibits talking about "dead houses" -- or beating them for that matter.3. Strive to be funny, entertaining or informative when you post. Avoid posting something that has already been posted.Read more: adamtopia.com/index.cgi?board=daily&action=display&thread=517&page=1#ixzz1aPm7gfRwSometimes it is hard to abide by Rule #3 but we can meet the challenge --- and there is way too much news to be rehashing. Thanks!

I will forever curse the excellent workmanship on Adam's GNT outfits!!! Things looked so promising with the sleeve failure that first night.... >:( I'm convinced they were Kevlar reinforced in strategic areas! Remember the zipper at Club Nokia?! Damn, one more song and it might have sprung!!! ;D

yay for change of topics! mys*&@^#r weren't you predicting Nov. 1 for the single? Do you think that's still a possibility? I was hoping for October but I can definitely hang on until November. Besides, explode sounds much better than ish! ;D aah, So Excited!!! I am predicting the 1st or the 8th. Leaning towards the 8th, with Adam taping Ellen on Nov. 10th! Fingers crossed for you then . But question, do they usually start the promo the week when and after the single releases? Or can they start before?

Bringing this over from yesterday's thread. Apparently, if one does a search for Adam Lambert at Amazon, BFM is coming up 3rd and it was coming up 5th. It is probably because fans are posting the "not the real album" stuff on it. Each click makes it move up in the search! Sooooooo, some clicks, at Amazon on Adam's real albums should take care of that! Wonder if it helps to go to Amazon & search other artists or titles & push it down ? No, go and click on different Adam albums. We may actually make this worse by clicking on it. However, this will be out there and the warnings are needed. Double-edged sword.

But question, do they usually start the promo the week when and after the single releases? Or can they start before? Ellen doesn't tape and air on the same day. It's impossible to try to figure out who you will see when you go there, unlike Leno. So, a show taped on the 10th would air either Monday or Tuesday of the following week.
