Very interesting that Tommy is reviewing the bastard album and cc'ing Monte TommyJoeRatliff TommyJoe Ratliff by adamgasm1982 @ @socialglambert "about you" & "somewhere in the middle" are my fav off that album i think. @monterrific 2 hours ago Favorite Retweet Reply If there IS melodrama, Tommy is kind of in the middle. No lectures on right or wrong, it's like having to choose either husband or wife after a nasty divorce. He probably doesn't know any more than we do about what really happened, PLUS, it's about his career and gigs, too. If there is a real problem between A and M, I hate it for Tommy since they are both his friends and both have done a lot for him. You may have posted before reading the follow up post to this but Tommy is talking about Monte's songs on his recently released album, not the bastard album.

I dunno why but Im even more excited about the 2nd album and single now, even after hearing that it will be delayed. ;D What I wish with regards to the singles, in addition to them being brilliant, is that they will translate easily to live performances. Now please dont throw things at me, but to me personally, the tv performances of FYE, WWFM and IIHY were..well, a little awkward and the vocals didnt come across as being as mindblowingly amazing as we know them to be from GNT and AI performances. Perhaps it is because on the sets of the tv shows, the sounds dont resonate as much and the sound feeds straight to the mic, as Adam had once mentioned.., or perhaps its because Adam still gets nervous performing for tv, as he said in his interview with Heidi.. but it seems to me that the biggest thing is that the songs were just really hard to sing live., as is evident by the many cringe worthy attempts made by other people to sing them... Songs like fever, sure fire winners and strut I think, would have translated better to live performances and would have better showcased the vocals, although I am aware, that they may not have been radio hits.. So what I;m saying, is that I hope Adams next single will be both a big hit on the radio and be able to showcase Adams amazing vocals and stage presence to their fullest. IDK, most of the performances of WWFM were pretty amazing. The WWFM performance on Ellen was a really good one. I even thought Adam's first performance of WWFM on Letterman was good. I remember the performances on the CBS Early Show were impressive, as well as the ones on Oprah. Performances on TV are probably never going to sound like they do in a concert setting, but after watching some of the live performances on awards shows over the past couple of years- I would have to rank Adam up at the top of the list. (except for the AMAs :( ) I truly loved all his TV performances. And except for the AMAs, I found them all incredible, breathtaking and amazing. True, I'm sure there is no comparison to a live concert, but I have never been to an Adam concert so I have no point of comparison in that regard. If I had been fortunate enough to attend his concerts, I probably would not be here posting right now. I would be dead from overload of gorgeous.

okay sorry but I have to leave a comment after reading everyones for the last 2 days. I didnt realize that some fans actually still believe that Tommy and adam are together. Well this is what I say i say prove it!!!! We need to see a picture of Adam and Sauli kissing so they can all shut up. ha ha and as far as Monte and the album goes how ironic it is when he knows when adams second album will be coming out and to all of a sudden have beg for mercy be first it seems the only one he cares about is maybe himself.

I really have to disagree with the idea that WWFM or IIHY did not sound great live. I know taste is personal, but that does surprise me. FWIW: A very large message board I used to frequent (for professional reasons) that has a LOT of conservative, anti-gay members who hated Adam with a passion generally reserved for terrorists. I posted the WWFM performance that is on the LIVE ep. I basically dared them to listen to it. Happily, many of them took up the dare and every single one who listened was converted to a fan solely due to that performance. Quite a few of them subsequently contacted me to comment that the beauty of the WWFM performance so intrigued them that they Googled him and found some interviews and were "shocked" to find out that "someone like that" [read: gay and therefore of the devil] could sing like an angel, loved his mother, and appeared to be genuinely nice and maybe they needed to do some thinking. All of that from the power of 3.5 minutes of a live performance? I think he sold the song quite well. You do know that I was talking about the singles when he first started singing them like they were on the album, before he was able to change it up to the point that he would be able to sing it live and make it work so that it always sound good right? Wasn't talking about any and all performances that he ever sung live. Loved FYE, but do to the fact that I was so messed up after the AMA's, it was hard for me to continue to listen to the song. And I never cared too much for IIHY, but I loved it when he sang it on GNT. And I never liked WWFM except for when he sang it live after a fashion. So maybe it's just me and my dislike over his singles?

This is Adam's first TV performance of WWFM, I think. Sounds pretty darn great to me! Sounds like the single, which is what he would want since he is trying to get people to buy the single. And OMG! Those pants!! Haven't watched that one in a long time. I always have loved his last note where he ends on the proper note and then goes lower by 1/2 step. He didn't riff all over the place like many people might do: he just sang one extra note and completely floored me.
