I'm thinking the pushed back release dates were first, the extended GNT global tour. Second, the change in management. Third, Adam being in a creative frenzy. With the excitement Adam and the many collaborators have had about the album for months, I do not believe that RCA was anything but pleased. It was probably "good enuf" for them about 3 months ago. But Adam kept working, kept getting ideas, kept getting collaborators (maybe with the label's help or the management's help), and, when he asked for more time, the label thought "This is already fantastic. This will sell whenever we release it. If he wants a couple more months to make it even more awesome, we can work with that." I just cannot imagine a scenario where Adam submitted tracks to the label and they said, "Hmmmm. Wellll, these are pretty good, but, you can do better, can't you? Why don't you go back and give it a bit more?" Why do I say that? Because on AI, Adam had just a few behind the scenes musicians and arrangers. He was basically on his own. Yet, he picked great songs, a great "set list" for the arc of the show, polished the songs to perfection, and blew us away week after week. If he could do all that 2.5 years ago, if he could go into the studio and record something like "Feeling Good" in just a couple of hours, then by now, his stuff is gonna be divine. Agree 100%.

I had to join because I must say I am really surprised anyone would question Adam's support of his friends. He has shown this over and over again (and even to other non-friends in the biz that he respects). I don't believe those of us on the outside have any real idea what this "debt" is, or even how he has repaid it thus far. It seems to me, though, that he gave Monty a job without having to audition, and has expressed verbally (and thru his eyes during performances) nothing but respect. Being a loyal friend is one of the MANY personal attributes that I love Adam for. I trust his judgement.

Why is Kim kardashians Wedding still trending? Didn't she already get married some time ago? what is this marathon thing going on this week?
I feel so out of the loop...

Look at those eyes when Adam is listening to Simon's critique. Gorgeous!

I really have to disagree with the idea that WWFM or IIHY did not sound great live. I know taste is personal, but that does surprise me.
FWIW: A very large message board I used to frequent (for professional reasons) that has a LOT of conservative, anti-gay members who hated Adam with a passion generally reserved for terrorists. I posted the WWFM performance that is on the LIVE ep. I basically dared them to listen to it. Happily, many of them took up the dare and every single one who listened was converted to a fan solely due to that performance. Quite a few of them subsequently contacted me to comment that the beauty of the WWFM performance so intrigued them that they Googled him and found some interviews and were "shocked" to find out that "someone like that" [read: gay and therefore of the devil] could sing like an angel, loved his mother, and appeared to be genuinely nice and maybe they needed to do some thinking. All of that from the power of 3.5 minutes of a live performance? I think he sold the song quite well.

Juniemoon, was it you who has a thing for spats? Me, too! And the shriveled-balls shoulder accoutrement, and his makeup, and THE SUIT! MAY EVERY MAN'S PANTS FIT THIS SPLENDIDLY. Oh, yeah...and the VOICE!
ETA: And THIS is my FAV CV song--and it's only :38 long! ;D

Very interesting that Tommy is reviewing the bastard album and cc'ing Monte TommyJoeRatliff TommyJoe Ratliff by adamgasm1982 @ @socialglambert "about you" & "somewhere in the middle" are my fav off that album i think. @monterrific 2 hours ago Favorite Retweet Reply If there IS melodrama, Tommy is kind of in the middle. No lectures on right or wrong, it's like having to choose either husband or wife after a nasty divorce. He probably doesn't know any more than we do about what really happened, PLUS, it's about his career and gigs, too. If there is a real problem between A and M, I hate it for Tommy since they are both his friends and both have done a lot for him.
