I think that the problem that I had with FYE, IIHY, and WWFM, which I really think, well I think I can say, I know that Adam probably won't go through with this Adam #2 is that, for those singles Adam was mainly trusting in and listening to the proven hit makers, ie. Max Martin, Dr. Luke, in whatever formula of what was proven to work with other artists, instead of listening to his instincts as well, as to what works for him. Wow that is a bad run on sentence. But anyway, yeah, I think that when he was able to Adamize and tweak these songs, it sounded better then it initially did in the beginning for some performances. I agree he definitely Adamized the songs I wish Adam would just release a snippet the 5 week wait is tearing me asunder. Eww that gif, lol. Well funny for me, when we first heard about the delay of the album to early 2012, I was worried and kind of heartbroken. But now after the news of this delay till November, I feel nothing but barely contained excitement. Maybe it's because it seems that the single will definitely be out in November, and not just a maybe(ish), we'll see kind of thing.

I really have to disagree with the idea that WWFM or IIHY did not sound great live. I know taste is personal, but that does surprise me. FWIW: A very large message board I used to frequent (for professional reasons) that has a LOT of conservative, anti-gay members who hated Adam with a passion generally reserved for terrorists. I posted the WWFM performance that is on the LIVE ep. I basically dared them to listen to it. Happily, many of them took up the dare and every single one who listened was converted to a fan solely due to that performance. Quite a few of them subsequently contacted me to comment that the beauty of the WWFM performance so intrigued them that they Googled him and found some interviews and were "shocked" to find out that "someone like that" [read: gay and therefore of the devil] could sing like an angel, loved his mother, and appeared to be genuinely nice and maybe they needed to do some thinking. All of that from the power of 3.5 minutes of a live performance? I think he sold the song quite well. Thanks for sharing your story. I hate hearing about how many people hold these preconceived notions of Adam and I applaud you for making them take a second look. I was never a huge fan of WWFM, but that version is just angelic. Happy to hear minds can be opened. But I'm going to join psychedelic behind the couch. Mostly regarding FYE and IIHY tv performances. Whenever I saw them, I either cringed a little or at best didn't think they came close to showing what he could do. And I do think the nerves get to him on tv with a few exceptions where he felt safe. You can always tell when Adam feel safe, even live there's a difference at the Jingle Balls vrs the last Montreal show. There's an extra level of freedom and joy when he's playing to people who already love him. I would bet Adam would probably agree, and his new singles won't be as hard to translate live as FYE or IIHY. regardless, I think we can all get behind this sentiment of psychedelic's .

I agree! On U.S. TV, I think we got 2 really good performances of IIHY on Ellen and The Tonight Show (and an awesome performance of Sleepwalker on the Tonight Show, in full Romulan garb!). There were a lot more performances of WWFM, of course, because Adam was on tour shortly after IIHY was released. I can't remember all of the WWFMs (Letterman, SYTYCD, Tonight Show, Ellen, etc.), but this is one of my favorites, from Grammy week this year: I'll never forget this performance..the acapella.. No words. Yeah the performance of this is really beautiful. But he is absolutely gorgeous here. Know what's weird for me, is how Adam seems to look even more pretty and beautiful with minimal, barely there make-up, then he does when he's really made up. Shouldn't it be the other way around? Always find myself having to watch videos over and over again, because I"m not always able to take everything in all in one viewing.

I don't have it handy, but thought his performance on Oprah was great. And I think Oprah loved it, too!

I just told by husband about Adam being up against Nick Jonas in the Hotties poll. He said, "No way, really? I'm no chick, but even I know that Adam Lambert is hotter than Nick Jonas!" ILH!
