I'm only new here, but I wanted to join everybody in saying happy birthday to Q3 and a big THANK YOU. This place is the greatest. I've been lurking for quite a while, and the day I finally registered was the day my sister was hospitalized (she's ok now). I guess I needed some escape because I was so worried, and this place was (and is) like a fantasy land. Here I feel like I'm in a parallel better world, made of only the things I like best Sorry for gushing like that, just wanted to let you know on your bday how great Atop is.  |

I am so proud today, I could burst. My daughter met an Air Force cadet at the Academy in Colorado Springs on a cruise with her dad in Spring, that just graduated as valedictorian of his class in Physics. Working on his Master's now in Quantum pysics. They have dated 6 months. Today she announced that she has broken up with him because is so narrow-minded and intolerant. He was talking marriage. I guess she is liberal thinking as I am and she said all they did was fight becasue his views were always the exact opposite of hers. The biggest differences was on gay issues and christian values. She said mom, when I saw how much you loved Adam, and explained to me how hard it is for gays, being born that way and the hatred and intolerance that is spewn, she explained how she couldn't accept a marriage partner that was so hateful. She said she didn't want her children being brought up in such an environment. She said they seemed to differ on everything. Proud mama today. You should be. Wow. |
