So like I'm trying to absorb today's thread and I'm going from a sugar high (shit, there were a lot of sweet gifs between adam and the birthday cakes) to a flat line (dead horse and all) and all I gotta say before they stop resuscitation efforts is HAPPY BIRTHDAY Q3 and thank you for the gift of ATOP.  |

I am so proud today, I could burst. My daughter met an Air Force cadet at the Academy in Colorado Springs on a cruise with her dad in Spring, that just graduated as valedictorian of his class in Physics. Working on his Master's now in Quantum pysics. They have dated 6 months. Today she announced that she has broken up with him because is so narrow-minded and intolerant. He was talking marriage. I guess she is liberal thinking as I am and she said all they did was fight becasue his views were always the exact opposite of hers. The biggest differences was on gay issues and christian values. She said mom, when I saw how much you loved Adam, and explained to me how hard it is for gays, being born that way and the hatred and intolerance that is spewn, she explained how she couldn't accept a marriage partner that was so hateful. She said she didn't want her children being brought up in such an environment. She said they seemed to differ on everything. Proud mama today. So I just came on and saw this. smokey, what a great job you've done of instilling values in your daughter. What a smart girl she is. I salute you both. |
