I'm not a numbers or music business gal, so have a little mercy with the dumb assumptions and questions.
My basic belief is that a country Idol will have bigger sales. Country folks buy more as a percentage than other genres. I, also, believe there is less pirating of the music.
Is any of this true?

Rollingstone gave Scotty 2 stars on the album. I do remember a bunch of country dj's discussing Scotty in an article I read. Their feelings are that he sounds like too many other country singers, no distinctive sound mof his own, and doesn't have a chance to make in the country world because of this.

You know that a lot of the buyers are Idol fans, not country fans. It all depends on whether those Idol fans stay with him or move on. |
