I'm going to buy the "bastard" album unless Adam comes out and says "Do not buy the album." I already have Adam's old music (from Idol) and YouTube, Zodiac, Wicked, Hair, etc. Why shouldn't I buy his other "old" music. How bad can it be. It is Adam. Monte is one of the "good guys" that Adam knows. They have been friends for a long time and Monte has always spoken well of Adam, always calling him "the best singer". Unless Adam has something to say negative about Monte, I am still going to support Monte too. He always seemed to be soothing and above the fray on the tour. I always felt like Adam had confidence in Monte above all others. I could be wrong, but those were the feelings I got from watching those videos, and watching the interaction between the two of them.
Okay ladies. Come and get me. I am interested in your thoughts.

adamlambert Adam Lambert Hello! Putting finishing touches on potential first single today! This beat is NUTS! 1 minute ago YAY!!!! SO EXCITED FOR NEW MUSIC!! RE: the other stuff: I have no axe to grind with Monte but ultimately it's only about Adam for me. He doesn't endorse BFM, so I'm not buying it. ( Also, I listened to the snippets and I don't think it's very good[/i] )

Well Monte didn't elaborate much...it is what it is. But I'm puzzled as to why two artists would sign away their rights to ANY control of songs they wrote - is that normal operating procedure? I can understand with the Take One tracks because they were just studio musicians......but the CV songs? Didn't the Beatles sell the rights to their songs? That's what allowed Michael Jackson to swoop in and buy their entire catalog later on--outbidding Paul McCartney for it. Unknown songwriters often sign away their rights to songs, I think. Someone can correct me if I'm all wet, but that was my understanding. Ah...okay. So that's not unusual. Thanks. Wish Monte hadn't posted a link to that site....basically promoting it, IMHO. okay, I'll shut up now! LOL! (Everyone else is trying so hard to move on....I tend to dwell on things.

"From a purely artistic standpoint, I must admit that I am proud of this music, after finally hearing clips of these songs again as of last week (hearing finished for the first time here: http://adamlambertalbum.com). I still think they’re great songs years later. There is a lot of heart and soul and positive energy that went into this at the time, which I cannot deny. I have always composed and performed music because I love doing so and because I have a true passion for it. It’s in my blood. And when we recorded these songs at the time, we hoped anything we did would be as big as it could possibly be; no limitations. And I’d imagine that would still come through in this music."
Interesting.
Irish - I'm coming to get you! As soon as Adam's touring again so we can go to a concert!

RT @adamlambert: Its NOT what I'm currently working on, nor does it reflect my artistic vision. Some folks will do anything to make a buck. Fuck.It was already history for me as soon as Adam tweeted this. I think he made his sentiments pretty clear, and very sucinctly, too. I won't even consider rewarding Welsford for his behavior. This is the second time. Expect exact same thing to happen as soon as Adam's #3 is being readied for promotion, especially if BFM sells. ETA: HSM, saw your thought about waiting to buy it later--that sounds like a good way to get the music AND not encourage the slimy coattail-riding release times Welsford eems determined to take advantage of. NEW SINGLE WILL BE EXPLODING NOVERMBER-ISH! YAY!!!!!

Why do peeps keep asking why they would sell the rights to the songs??? My understanding is they just don't have the rights to those recordings of the songs, not the songs themselves. I listened to the snippets. Adams vox on Beg for Mercy are fantastic. ETA: tho I won't be buying it!

[grin] I'm not going after ya irish
BFM isn't my cuppa, but if ya want it, I not gonna wank on you. Adam will get his songwriting residuals.
That said, I still think the timing and the parisite-like advertising is horrendous. But that doesn't have appear to have anything to do with the musicians who worked on the project.
Honestly, I might get it myself.....AFTER Adam's real album comes out. I've waited this long, I can wait another 9 months or so to pique my curiosity about listening to Citizen Vein in a proper recording.

We're moving on? Okay, I'll move on. (I think it's interesing, though, ngl - and his father's "well-said" tweet, too. If I were Adam, and I'm SO NOT, SO NOT - so I won't finish the thought.)
