I haven't read monte's letter yet (what page is it on anyway?) but the whole situation just breaks my heart. But things generally have a way of working out in adam's favour, so I can only trust that this one will too. (and in OT news, I think I've just been put into moderation over on mjs. I feel like I've graduated to the big girl leagues or something :-) ) Oh, you bad girl!!!

I never even considered the release of a single....thought it was just the album. Well THAT sucks. Sucks big time; but that Oct. 18th release date is coming fast.

Oh, just to read into things: and did anyone else think it was odd that Adam recently tweeted that "looking back" performance of him and Monte doing WWFM? Although beautiful it was not some hidden gem, or really that far for us to look back since it was on his acoustic album. At the time he tweeted people here were talking about if Monty would leave Adam for Madonna and I immediately thought that maybe Adam wasn't reminiscing about the music but about the connection they obviously had (past tense) there. And now... I think it was because of the acoustic version done on the SingOff that night.

...Especially albums. Without support - and Adam saying Don't Buy It - how is this going to make impact? Can't imagine tons of sales. yeah....maybe only 100,000 or so? Yay! 100,000 albums X $10 each = 1 million dollars. Is it any wonder Welsford is doing this again! >:(

This release comes as a surprise to me... 6 Oct @adamlambert It is NOT what I'm currently working on, nor does it reflect my artistic vision. Some folks will do anything to make a buck. Fuck. 6 OctAdam tweeted the WWFM video 2 days before He was surprised with the news about BFM.

fifthhousesunI was wondering if you knew that Monte posted a link to the BFM website in his blog. The mods here took the links out, so not sure if you were aware. No, wasn't aware. Will go try to track down. Thanks. (waves back) Coming in late to this missing some pieces it seems. Though reminded of eons ago when we were hashing out the first threatened Citizen Vein material unauthorized release. Possibly we were still at MJ's. And how Monte, who was thought to be the only known holder of the rights, was so silent about it. But it looked like Monte was against Adam then. And, lo and behold, Adam hires his old friend for the tour. And, now it seems Monte signed away all his rights, too. But the "it's just business" aspects of Hollywood happen between friends. Though in Adam's case it feels more like business happens for his friends because of the friendship, and Adam's generously embracing fans.

Warning: Entirely unwarranted armchair psychoanalysis and conclusion-jumping to follow. I doubt anyone posting here would take exception to the contention that Adam is a very loyal person. Given that he is loyal, and undoubtedly values loyalty in others, he would perhaps be even more affected than most if he believed his loyalty was betrayed by someone he thought he could trust. I don't know if he feels betrayed by Monte. I'm not in Adam's head, or in Adam's confidence. I'm just saying that if he does feel betrayed, it would not surprise me if he were hurt enough to be willing to let the relationship go. Adam is loyal, but he also possesses a great deal of self-respect. He is nobody's doormat or punching bag. It's likely the two of them already weathered one storm with Lisa's Twitter rant, and whatever prompted it. Although they worked together subsequently, it would not shock me if that incident left scars that didn't entirely heal - and left Adam less willing to "turn the other cheek" again. It is also possible that Adam has been advised by his/RCA's attorneys not to make any more public statements about BFM at this point. When Take One was released, Adam issued a formal press release expressing his POV about the album. It's possible that his management and RCA will want to go the same route here. Or, maybe the attorneys are still working to block the release of the album. In any event, I don't think we can read anything into Adam's silence since his initial tweets. The silence may be simply the result of advice from attorneys, not a sign of any animosity toward Monte. When I was talking about Adam's silence, I didn't mean in connection with the project itself. I just meant that Monte was taking a lot of heat from Adam's fans, and Adam could easily have tweeted to ask the fans to lay off - as he has done in the past when some overzealous Glamberts have overstepped themselves. No issue with legal repercussions at all.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D Avari, I saw your comment. Brave girl! Fighting the trolls is a dirty business. Cheers! I just do it for fun to be honest. ETA: and I know this is very off topic as well; sorry q3 and mods! Now to go and read this entire thread. I've been avoiding the Monte discussion because I just don't know what to think. :(
