I think Im completely going off in a tangent, but I find it so amazing that Adam can move his pharyngeal arches like that!!!! Its not under voluntary control in most ppl as far as I know! And also, Terrance.... is it `soon` yet??

Though he had confirmed to a fan on twitter that the song he remixed was Beg for Mercy. Maybe check his timeline again. Oh I could be completely mixed up. I have been traveling and was moving when all that was going on. Based on the Amazon description, there are remixes on The Paramount Sessions too. I think I found it but he didn't use reply so it doesn't show what the question was. djdrifta Chris Drifta mitla96 @satanicfloret Beg For Mercy. 6 Oct Favorite Retweet Reply But what clued him in to the whole thing was Adam's tweet about Beg For Mercy and he commented that if Adam didn't know about the album then he must not know about the song remix so I figure he must have been remixing Beg For Mercy. It sounded like he put a halt to things so I don't think he turned in his remix. He said they didn't pay him up front he was supposed to get paid after it dropped.

SCROLL ALERT. More equestrian flagellation. [ETA: OH shit...in the (LOOONG) time it took me to compose the tome below, I see that people are even more thoroughly sick of the topic than they were before! Sorry! I honestly haven't said anything before now, so at least I'm not a repeat offender? To delete or not to delete--I'll leave it, cause it took to damn long to type, but PLEASE be my guest and SCROOOLLLLL!]I've stayed out of this whole discussion until now cause, yeah, I'm skerrrrd, but (hopefully) tonight's my last chance, so... What do I think? Why, thank you for asking! I think: 1) I'm not as confident as some of you are that we know exactly how Adam feels about this whole complex situation based on a few tweets. We know one thing: that Adam didn't want the albums released, and sees the effort for what it is--a sleazy attempt to cash in on his golden name. But I don't feel that I know, at least, a) that Adam would rather we steal the album than buy it, or b) that Adam is angry at Monte about it. I don't know either of these things. My plan is to neither buy nor download the album, at least for now, while things are at their peak-sleaziness, but that's just me...other folks can honestly do whatever they want and I think all options are fine. 2) I see no reason why this should be then end of the Monte-Adam relationship. That relationship has lasted a long time over pretty momentous changes in personal circumstances on both sides--extreme fame on one side, four babies on the other. IMO, we have a situation here where both parties are behaving reasonably according to their own professional and artistic interests. I honestly don't see why that would torpedo a successful musical and surely also personal relationship. 3) I do not see how this is a situation where, to borrow from our illustrious former president, "yer either with us or yer aginst us." Understanding Monte's point of view does not mean being against Adam. For all we know, Adam understands Monte's point of view. And in all the skimming I have done, NO ONE, i mean NO ONE here has been anything other than condemning of Sleazbags and their Sleazbag ways and marketing and timing, etc. Even the "pro-Monte" crowd, it seems to me, is against the sleaze, and everyone is sympathetic to Adam. 4) As far as Adam "owing" Monte or Monte "owing" Adam something, professionally, I think neither "owes" anyone anything. They both take their work seriously, and make the best professional decisions based on what they think yields the best musical and business results. That's what pros do. Personally, they are friends, and owe each other all the loyalties and sympathies that friendship demands. This does not mean hiring someone, or including their music on your album; this means listening to them, and lending them a reasonable, friendly ear. This means being understanding when different situations lead to different professional interests. That is all, and I, at least, have not seen either violate that personal debt. 5) We're all agreed: this would be a very different situation marketed as a CV product and released in a quiet time. Of course, that would never happen, because then it would sell three copies, but still... 6) In the spirit of not assuming anything about things I don't know, I wouldn't assume anything about Adam's silence. First of all, I think everything Rihannsu said above was spot on. Secondly, Adam frequently sends us into tailspins with twitter silences. We hang on his every word far far more than he does. I am reminded, a little, of our understandable excitement when we reached his charitywater goal, and our disappointment over his extended silence. He's a busy boy. 7), and this is the big one: regardless of how we feel about all this, I have the strong sense (and here I go making assumptions myself) that the fandom is faaar more upset about all this than Adam is. He's doing so well right now, he's so excited about his music, I really don't see this hurting him all that much. I suspect a large number of Take One purchasers were Idol fans who weren't into his edgier stuff, or people who bought both albums. BFM purchasers may be people who want more straight-up rock or, again, people who buy both albums. I just cannot see the harm in this to Adam. The irritation, yes, definitely, but not significant professional harm. I'm totally zen about it. I feel like there is a mostly loveable instinct in this fandom to be protective of Adam, and that sometimes translates into our seeing him as a victim, either because of something like this, or because of his sexuality, or because of his religion, or because he came in second to Kris, or because of his beautiful sad-puppy eyes in some photo. But I don't think Adam sees himself that way, and then he gives a speech like he gave at the PFLAG event, about how he's just having fun, and everyone is all like wut?! but you struggled so hard to get here! NOT SAYING he didn't work hard, course he did. But Adam is nothing if not positive, and I cannot believe this little Welsford kerfluffle got more than a "fuck" or two out of him. He's a happy boy, living a blessed life, with professional success, artistic fullfillment, a loving boyfriend, a warm family, a loyal circle of friends, plenty of money, supreme talent, enviable good looks, adoring fans, and clearly a pretty nifty guardian angel, and he's surely on the verge of a major breakthrough to super-stardom. I'm sorry, but I simply refuse to feel sorry for the man. ;D ps--I feel sorry for US, cause he ain't leaking his damn music! I'll just choose to squee, faithfully and in advance, at whatever secret it is that Hoppers and Tinafea and other damn mods are squeeing infuriatingly about. so SQUEEEEEE.

Regarding BfM and Monte:
Everyone needs to make their own choices depending on their own understanding and own feelings. I doubt if there will be any further information or statements made by any of the parties. It will not be the end of the world whatever the outcome. At this point in time, I believe almost everyone has decided what they are going to do and will not change their minds. I am a little worried that this will permanently fracture the fandom. I hope not.

I will admit I have not read the thread (after p. 14). I left work and found out that there was a massacre at a salon in a very small town near me (I thought it was one where I used to be a regular patron) and for almost an hour I didn't know if the shooting (eight people killed, one in critical condition – worst mass killing in Orange County, CA's history) was the salon where I know almost everyone who works there. Turns out it was another a few miles away. So a relief that I don't know the people, but just as real that I easily could have. I've been thinking about every one of them and wondering, What if it had been them? I'm sorry, I'm not in the mood to mince words or pussy foot around an issue. I'm sick of being diplomatic about something I consider deplorable so Monte apologists, scroll if you want because here it is: • I don't believe a line of Monte's bullshit. • I do NOT feel sorry for him one bit. • Adam has made it clear how he feels about this. • The entire launch of this project is the definition of exploitative whoring. USING ADAM'S NAME AND MAKING THAT PIECE OF SHIT ALBUM COVER PEOPLE? Seriously. For all the analysis we do of Adam, what he likes dislikes – we analyze things down to a strand of hair or piece of jewelry and they put up this 8th grade beginning graphics 1A artwork with ADAM'S FUCKING NAME ON IT and ADAMLAMBERTALBUM.COM as the URL at the time that Adam is ready to launch the biggest project of his life and PEOPLE ARE FORGIVING THIS???????• Rationalize and spin all you want that Monte is a "Victim," I call bullshit on that too. If he made a buck off of Adam's fucking house being vandalized would we forgive him that? Hey, someone is mugging Adam and Monte didn't really know about it but the guy slipped him a few bucks to not call the cops for an hour or so, would we forgive that too? Worse yet, rationalize it? • Monte is endorsing a project that is raping his friend's brand – a friend who has practically killed himself trying to establish that brand. He worked his ass off to create a superior product and here opportunists resurface (FROM A SHADY DEAL MONTE GOT ADAM INTO IN THE FIRST PLACE, I MIGHT ADD) and it continues to haunt him six years later. • Apologize, rationalize and forgive all you want, but in my opinion, the whole thing is beneath contempt and anyone who endorses it and claims to love Adam mystifies me. Adam could tweet right now about how much he loves Monte and give a thumbs up to the project and I will NOT see it as anything but sleazy, opportunistic bullshit. Sorry, to get totally raw, but I have fucking had it.

Glad you did post it MWP.
Very well said.
And to add further:
a) From what I read over last couple of days, I see that 1 person wants to buy the bastard album, 2 people are somewhat on the fence about it, est. 100 people will not buy it. Makes max. 3 copies sold results in $ 21 wholesale revenue, of which about 10 % goes to Adam/Monte. That is a buck and 50 cents, if I understand right how this works. Obviously, these are estimates, none of us knows the contracts, but I wanted to give an sense of scale.
We have now gone in circles for 5 days in over 100 pages and end result is: Monte makes $ 1.50 that 100 people here hate his guts for.
Wow!
b) The only thing about this album that matters is the accidental purchases that will happen especially during the X-mas time, and especially because RCA does not have any other AL product for sale for either fans or people buying for fans. That sucks. But the only thing I can do about that is to counterbalance the existing marketing efforts as best I can. All this Monte hating does nothing to resolve squat. And it does not hinder any album from getting sold. Because folks here have long made up their mind and others are not reading here. Can we start doing something useful again? Outta here. Nite all.
