I am feeling pretty zen now, but I still want to address a few things from the last few pages I just got caught up on.
1) Slappy, you don't need to worry about the fandom. Those who love Adam still love Adam and probably always will. Some may love Monte, too, and that won't change either. It's just an ugly situation Welsford has created, and it will be what it will be--and no one knows what that is yet. But we'll all still be here!

Rhiannsu, I've never disagreed with a thing you posted here until this mess, but I personally think you are misinterpreting what's happened since Monte's statement.
I did not see anyone do this. Not on this board anyway. Especially the "HeWhoCannot amedeted" part. I think some people may have felt that, but they were simply stating their OPINION given the info they had at the time. And I don't think anyone was happy about the fact that they had these feelings or gut reactions.
Personally, M's statement did nothing to address my basic concerns, but I am not "HeWhoCannot amedeting" my disappointment about this and am not "spinning" his statement--it's my honest reaction/opinion. That's all. And I'm not happy to be disappointed that Monte put that misleading piece of shit website in his statement.
3) CrazyforAdam, Yes, Adam wants us to get along. We DO get along. We just don't agree on every single nuance of every issue. Do you think his tweets re BFM are his honest feelings? "Fuck." If so, wouldn't you expect to see some honest debate about the release of yet another (make that TWO) bastard CD's with suspect timing. Again.
But re: your post about the $1.50 M has made "that people here hate him for"--?? Nope. Just don't see the hate. Just see people who do not agree with you. I don't--but I don't hate Monte at all.
I will not miss him if he's gone, and I will be fine with him as Adam's guitarist in the future if that suits them both. I stan Adam. Period.
4) Jesslala, "Where did Adam say not to buy?" I take his tweets as an indication he's not endorsing BFM OR PSessions. I know he sure didn't tweet that sleazy website to help people "make up their own minds." So, "don't buy" is just my interpretaion of his tweets. Some may think, "Well, he didn't say those exact words." No, he didn't. So if they think he won't care, and they like the music, I'm sure they'll buy it. Completists who don't even like the CV songs may buy it in the future, just so they have it without rewarding Welsford for his slimy coattail-riding timing. Doesn't make them bad fans. Just means I don't agree with them. I'll bet they don't care, lol!
Now, see, Slappy, three people I know and love don't agree with me. BUT I'M OKAY WITH THAT, AND THEY PROBABLY ARE, TOO.
So no worries.
And NO ONE should find it odd that this is a topic of discussion today, FFS. M just released his "statement" lol THIS MORNING.

Let me add one more thing... Adam DOES potentially have leverage over this. He has lawyers, the money to pay lawyers, and potentially even a legal standing based on accepted business practices. Monte has none of those things. Monte cannot realistically win any fight. All he can do is explain the situation. Frankly, I don't understand why he isn't more upset that *his* name is missing. But I think he figures that he can't win, so all he can do is what he always hoped to do....get people to listen to his music. Frankly, if I were Monte, I'd be trying like hell to get my name back where it belongs. However, I just don't think Monte has any leverage. I quite concur hsm and frankly, do not understand the hate and character assasination going on. Monte is at least as big a victim as Adam in all this. I don't particularly care for this music so it is highly unlikely that I would buy it....so I have no ethical hurdles to cross thankfully. But to continue to beat on Monte seems really unfair to me. It is not his fault that Malcom Westwood is a slimebucket. He thru his name on his cd jacket before all this shit went down. It is also not Monte's fault that Lisa went on a rant months ago. He seems to have got that under control and mended what ever fences may or may not have needed mending with Adam. Monte has been fair and kind to Adam's fans [it cannot be easy ALWAYS... NOT... being the person people have come to see, even if and when you agree with it]. I do not understand trying to ruin someone elses reputation just because you can. One against one...fine. But this is thousands against one person who has no way to really arm themselves and who is going to lose no matter what they say or do. This is his art and life too. If Adam cannot stop this, why would anyone think Monte can!! I really don't get it.  |

If memory serves, I read somewhere that for legal reasons, Adam had to be very careful to not come right out and say "Don't buy this" when talking about Take One - although I can't swear that it wasn't just somebody's interpretation, rather than a statement of fact. But if true, it would explain why Adam didn't say "Don't buy this" in connection with the two new bastard albums. I think his tweets conveyed that message pretty clearly, without him actually saying it. Loved your post. Loved Susie's, too. 'Nuff said. On a happier note...THAT PHOTO!!! He looks frigging AMAZING! And I wish someone would tell him his skin looks so much better without the heavy makeup. Maybe he's just in a good phase with his skin right now, I dunno, but it looked great in that pic. |

It was from that Monte superstan, Hannabec. She tweeted that Monte had told her (the weekend before all this started) that the cv songs were being released. She also said that Monte told her that Adam couldn't say anything about it due to being signed with RCA. Of course, Monte just made that part up, because Adam said plenty the second he found out about BFM (a few days later) from fans on Twitter: RT @adamlambert: Its NOT what I'm currently working on, nor does it reflect my artistic vision.
