Thinking about Sauli's new blog. Sauli has more friends coming over from Finland. Good for him, he obviously misses his friends, misses being able to speak Finnish and being able to share his experiences being in Hollywood and being in the US. It's a funny thing being a Finn. When you are abroad you start to miss Finland and Finnish language pretty soon. At least it's what happened to me several times I've been abroad. Finnish culture is something that sometimes is hard to understand for non-finns. We are kind of crazy in a way (generalizations here). But I suppose it's the same for Greeks, Italians and so forth. You miss your own kind of people to be able to share your experiences with .... What I'm trying to say here is that even though everything is fine and you are having a wonderful time, you still miss something from your home country. I agree. My parents immigrated to the U.S. with me when they were Sauli's age, and no matter how many friends they made, no matter how much time passed, if any opportunity presented itself to speak their native language and interact with people from "the old country" they were so eager to do so! Doesn't mean that they weren't happy here or that they regretted leaving home, but there was always a piece of themselves that they coudn't really express except with those who were from their native land.

Most importantly, can we blame Monte for this look? ;D Actually, call me crazy (and I'm sure you do) but I like the look. I love Adam's IDGAF attitude about clothes. He's always playing with looks and styles and it's nothing if not entertaining. Well you can call me crazy too because I love it! Well TBH, the vest can go, but the shirt is A+. In a beautiful, crazy, OTT way, of course. ;D And, I love the shaved hair too. So there. Now, if there are hammer pants under there, well, I'm going to have to rethink things... I LOVE the shirt too!!! :D But looks like we're in the minority... :

Hi, I have a facebook problem I'm hoping someone here can help with. When I try to update my status/type into the 'what's on your mind' field on my wall, a small box pops up that asks 'say who you're with'. I can continue to type into the field but the post button is no longer clickable. If I click the 'ok' on the 'say who you're with' box it takes me back to my welcome page. Is there a setting I should be changing to allow me to post an update on my wall? Thanks. Just click on the big square, even if it says who you're with or what's on your mind, these phrases will disappear and you can post. Thanks for trying Gelly, but nothing is clickable except the 'ok' to the 'say who you are with' pop-up. Like I said, I can type into the field (the 'what's on your mind' dissapears and the pop-up appears) but cannot click 'post'.

FYE "angst proofed" me about any subsequent cover.
I bet some will love the artwork on Adam2 and some will be disappointed but I can't imagine it could ever top the shock of FYE. Being an Adam fan has prepared me for anything. ;D

I think that's true for everyone. It's kind of like how a newlywed is more comfortable when they hang out with thier family as compared to the spouse's family. 8-) I agree, I'm really happy Sauli has found Finns here and has had company from Finland. #letskeepSaulihappy ETA: Whoa!!! I honestly wasn't thinking of them as newlyweds, I was totes thinking of my personal experience. I swear. LOL I believe you :

Yes, and I've said that all along from the first time we saw the haircut, but now my resolve is waning. I still think it will be hard to pull off even if they are doing a sci-fi look. His first album was blue, shaved-sides, sci-fi (Michelin Man) and I really thought he was going to make a stark departure. But that doesn't look like it's happening. At this point, it looks like he's lined up to do "FYE – The Sequel." (And BTW, I never minded the FYE cover.) I'm sure it will be interesting, but I just can't visualize it at this point and no matter what, I will always think he looks better without shaved sides than with. Actually, I think it makes sense when you picture the hair with the clothes from that designer who tweeted about working with Adam recently. Gah, I can't remember the name... Anyway, the clothes were very futuristic and would go with this haircut perfectly. Back forever ago, Adam said "more leather, less glitter," and I think that's all he said about a ~look. The rest of his statements have been about the music-- "real, honest, etc." I think many of us thought this might mean a less stylized, more gritty look, but it doesn't look that way. I have a feeling this album cover is going to surprise us all. Bring on AlbumCoverGate 2.0!!!!!! ;D NoAngel ITA about the designer and how the clothes with the haircut fit perfectly ashton michael www.ashtonmichael.com/and the picture that made me think of Adam is this one. You can laugh all you wanna ;D

Wow, that's an interesting analysis, carrieb. I can totally see that. You're right. I think when I first saw the pic my eyes were all over the place (and not in a good way ) I didn't see that shirt and vest and hairstyle as complementing him, I saw them as jumping out for the sake of themselves. It's hard to overpower Adam's magnetism, that's why he CAN get away with wearing so many accessories, but this just didn't work for me (for you). The shirt is beautiful, but pretty loud, so you really need to downplay it, not put a vest over it. I really thought he was in a '70s theme costume at first. You're also right about the hair. The "step" was the big trend for kids in the '90s, when my very blond nephews were young. Seemed like every one of their blond classmates had the "step" (shaved sides around the bottom). My b-i-l was always steadfast that his kids would never have a "gimmick hairdo." LOL. When it was the rage in the '90s, I didn't care for it on anyone, but I have to admit, when Adam had the trimmed (not shaved) sides with the cut lines, he looked REALLY cute with them. I think you're right, because they weren't fully shaved, the look wasn't so stark. This angular, shaved thing does look very Vanilla Ice to me. :-/ It does make my head spin wondering what the cover art is going to look like. I got rather attached to those Lee Cherry Studiobert pics and thought he could not look more gorgeous. And now this is something entirely new. We will have to see ... I think you guys need to think Shaman on a spaceship. This is a rather sci-fi look. Only if it's sci-fi time travel from the 1980s to the future. LOL
