Yes, Taylor's recommendation helped. She didn't put in on her Spotify playlist though, but on Apple Music. She doesn't use Spotify much I believe. But is did help some on Spotify as well I think. It shows to me how small Adam's fanbase has become and how little people are streaming his songs. Even though there are plenty of new fans as well who got into Adam in the last years. It's on Taylor's Playlist by ME on spotify as well, that's the one I listened to. Just checked and New Eyes is still number 8 on the list but that could be just for me based on me following Adam on there but it doesn't have that many followers tbf. I saw your chartmetrics post on twitter and I really don't get why Adam's falling lower, every time he does anything high profile people rave about him, even one's who aren't already fans so his following should be increasing, really puzzles me. To my knowledge that playlist is not made by Taylor, but by fans. I don't see such a playlist on her profile on Spotify. Adam's metrics went up very much with the release of New Eyes by the way! The first score they gave him was up in 30,000 I think. He rose to just inside the top 1,000, but is now dropping some. He's mostly dropping because his monthly listeners in Spotify are dropping I think. That's dropping because he is losing the new listeners from the Sommerhits 2019 playlist from Germany. Besides that his profile isn't very high on most of the metrics. His Twitter and FB followers are constantly dropping for instance (also because the platform is losing people). Increases in followers on other platforms are solid and steady, but not very high.

Because it wasn't streamed enough. The streams in the first 2 days were too little to get it high on the New Music Friday lists (and in some countries it didn't make it on there at all) resulting in lower streams from the NMF lists. Fans really need to step up their game if we wan't a hit for Adam. Adam is asking us in several ways to view and stream, but somehow too much fans don't. 12k streams in one day is way too little. Adam released his last two songs on Wednesday for a reason. Feel Something didn't make it onto all the New Music Friday lists because Adam doesn't have a high enough profile to get on there automatically. When you release on Wednesday you have 2 days to build up streams and momentum to show Spotify that Adam's music is good enough to make it on there. This worked with New Eyes in a way as that song was put on most of the lists and also in some countries fairly high (Germany for instance on #7 which also resulted in that Sommerhits playlist after that). For Comin In Hot streams were way lower for the first two days and that resulted in less playlists and a lower spot on the playlists it got on. It's partly up to us fans to make sure we do those first streams. And I felt that as a whole we let Adam down this time. Spotify streams should be a multiple of YouTube views as YT only counts 4-10 views per day while you can stream on Spotify continuously. Yet Spotify is not even at 400k while the video is almost up to 2 million. Something is going wrong here. Could some of it be because Taylor recommended people to listen to it as well, I know I saw quite a few comments on YT saying here from Taylor Swift and she also put it on her spotify playlist. I just don’t think Adam fans can exponentially make that much of difference in streams. His fan base is too small. He needs new fans. Hence why Taylor’s endorsement was so important.

Ah right it's called the same so I thought it was hers, must admit I'm a dinosaur when it comes to streaming etc, really not my thing at all and Adam's the only person I bother for. Hopefully after the QAL tour when he drops Superpower and the A side of the album it might connect with more people and get on more streaming lists. It seems to be more about networking and acquiring followers than music in the current climate.

Yeah I agree I just don't know what he could do to get new followers, every time he does something high profile lots of people who aren't fans love it (like the Believe thing) but it doesn't seem to increase his followers much. All the promo he does gets some interest and his chart position goes up briefly but then drops again and not much increase in followers then either. It's puzzling.

May be he should start rapping .....and why not... he is already denying himself his voice by going into falsetto land...

Let's not put this on the fans. His rather small core fanbase is not enough to get him a hit. And, I will admit it. I am just a fan. And I didn't really like CIH all that much. So, I am not personally going to stream and play a song that I'm just not into

He needs a major collab with an A-list rapper. I have always said this... That would probably work or even a collab with a major artist with millions of followers but I respect Adam for not going there, he's said he'd only do a collab if it made sense to him and for a reason and I don't think to gain followers is a good enough reason for him, at least not at the moment.
