I was once betrayed by a very close friend (different situation of course) and it hurt so bad - I sure hope Adam doesn't have those feelings.
I know nothing about all the details except what I've read here and on twitter but I support Adam and Adam only.
I'm so reminded of the Take One situation 2 years ago - I remember repeatedly checking M's twitter when he was on tour with Madonna in Europe (never have actually followed him so had to search it) - waiting for some kind of statement back then which never came. That always bugged me.
Early this week when, somehow through twitter, I was directed to this FYE live journal site, someone was discussing us here at Atop and we were called something like "the keepers of the nursing home" LMAO - then today I sign on and see people discussing knitting ack!!!

Hmmm, cool. I heard it through the grapevine (and that you had to look for it), so that's great if it's not true. Confirming NoAngel here , Susie. They're RAGING over Monte. Each and everyone anonymous (or not anonymous) poster. And scarlett WELCOME!!!!  Maybe I'm remembering the community wrong then? That could be. If that's the case, I apologize FYE!!! |

I'm in awe of people's ability to surmise and conjecture about things most of us have little or no information about. I my opinion, it feels like people are spinning back stories and new stories to fit the situation. The Monte hate is getting me down. :-/ I have trouble seeing what he has done that is so horrible. He was paid to work on the demo (Take X) tracks and was a co-writer and performer on the CV tracks. Now the tracks are being released and he said "buy it or not." The CV album is not being marketed as CV, and it looks like he and the other band members were just some session musicians. Plus he's proud of the CV work. I don't think he needs to have the same opinion/reaction as Adam and it doesn't make him horrible. I don't even think that his statement on his web site is an endorsement of the album, as many have expressed here. (Yes, I know he put a link to the album web page.) I, like others here, am not all that much concerned about Monte one way or another, except for what I see as dissing. I don't usually express strong opinions here, but I guess I tend to get defensive when someone appears to be judged unfairly (I guess I should say IMO again). I've said it before, being a part of Atop has been a real lesson in human nature. My lovely father always taught me to try to empathize and understand why people are the way are and how that affects what they do. I'm trying to understand the Monte hate, but I'm not there. So I think it's time for me to step away for the evening. See ya'll tomorrow.  |

I'm sorry, I have to question a couple of points, Q3: Yes, or those are the street-teamers spurred by Monte and the people behind Welsford who are trying to promote this album everywhere we try to thwart it. This is an active campaign that involves several components, including a street team on fye, many of Monte's fans, and people who work for Welsford. They are posting the links on every Adam story, etc. Yes, so far, we've remained in pace with them, but still, the damage is done and the writing on the walls is that they are making a concerted effort to launch this in every way possible. The Street Teamer is another false rumors flying around Twitter -- but I am totally confused about what you mean. My point is no one is ordering these two albums. Welsford, Burcher and Rene Moore are suing each other over TO -- why ever would they have a common street team promoting BFM and The Paramount Sessions. Makes sense. Well I hope to hell they do not write articles about it and fuck Adam over like Perez did with "Want". Thankfully the Idol press that was all over TO is not all over this. I am not blowing anything off as insignificant -- but I rufuse to get upset over things that might happen in the future but is not evidenced yet. More than that, I refuse to fabricate evil doings based upon rumors from secret sources on Twitter. So far all we know is the Monte thanked Welsfords in his liner notes on two albums, and Monte has taken ownership of the music he wrote and record with Welsford. (I am sure I forgot other items on this list.) If you want to condem for what we know he did, that is fine but let's leave the fantasies for Twitter. Eventually, BFM will be released or it will be pulled. Eventually, Adam will make a statement about it. For now, I repeat, all I know is Adam pointed at Welsford not at Monte. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Finally, we have rehashed the Adam vs. Monte story until it is now a horse skeleton. IF THERE IS NO NEWS ABOUT THIS AND YOU HAVE ALREADY POSTED YOUR OPINION, do not bother to comment on it further. I WILL delete you post.
So quite simply -- the topic of Monte vs. Adam or the equally boring Adam vs. Monte is CLOSED. If you feel a grand desire to rehash this subject and it will improve you life in some way, I have created a thread appropriately titled Adam vs. Monte/Monte vs. Adam. Didn't someone already say that Tommy was at the gig last night with his girlfriend Liz? She played a set earlier in the evening and Tommy brought flowers? As has been mentioned, Tommy was ~playing at all M's gigs up until the Lisa twitter mess. Just being at the gig where his girlfriend is also playing doesn't really tell anyone much about the state of T & M's relationship.
Adam HAS been tweeting with and about Tommy for the last couple days during the deafening silence on M.
The first I heard anythign about A being a godfather to M's daughter was a rumor that appeared yesterday. Were M & A even friends back when she was born? I thought they just met around that time. Isn't she around 7?
