I have a few cool newsstands near me; I'll probably wait until tomorrow to go searching – or if we get reports of others seeing them. I follow someone on Twitter who is quite adamant that she has seen The Advocate at her Barnes & Nobel in the Philadelphia area. I'm sure I've seen it at hipper newsstands. Subscription only makes no sense. Magazines don't make any money on subscriptions ("barely pays for the ink," as they say in the biz) if it was only available by subscription, they would be severely limiting their audience and therefore advertising reach. There would really be no point in producing a print product at that rate. I'm sure we'll be able to find them. ETA: Oh, the Creative Director of The Advocate was already berting last week: @gay_Creative: I've been anxiously awaiting the release of our November cover, on Monday. Can't wait for you all to see it! Who could it be?? |

Amazing pics who looks like that pumping gas. ADAM FUCKING LAMBERT  Damn those pictures are smoking hot and I loved the article too. He really is very self-aware, which is fantastic because IMO most celebrities lack self-awareness which is what makes them kind of douchey. |

I have never sourced The Advocate, but it is certainly possible that there are stores in Austin that carry them and I will be on the lookout or more correctly, on the hunt to find copies.
