Hi guys. I've been in the NW PA mountains for 5 days. Can anyone tell me briefly if I missed anything good?
Also - totally OTT. I got home and opened my Firefox and got the bing search page. How the hell does that happen? I have no desire to ever use bing - only google. I sent a nasty comment to the bing site. I almost feel like my computer has been semi-hacked. Does anyone know how I get bing off of my computer. Can I ban it? This has happened before. Sorry for the rant.
Back to happy stuff. Has the Adam storm begun?

sugaree--did you recently install any new software? sometimes when you do it will have a little box that will say make so and so my homepage--if you don't uncheck that box it will switch to that browser. That could be one reason...

I have never sourced The Advocate, but it is certainly possible that there are stores in Austin that carry them and I will be on the lookout or more correctly, on the hunt to find copies. I'll be in Houston on Wednesday; I'll check there.

I'm pretty sure magazines get stocked in stores on Friday, sometimes on Thursday if the clerks are early.

Re: the article in www.advocate.com/Print_Issue/Cove....m+Daily+News%29 When I saw the expression “existential pop†I got all excited and I thought to myself: two words, so cute, so clever, so enlightening. 2 words, and he evokes what people have been looking for in music (besides art, beauty, entertainment…): a moment of recognition of what life is about ! But now, alas, I must avow my musical ignorance is fathomless as I find that it is a recognized genre and it is even mentioned in Google sites in connection with Sam Sparro. Does anybody more knowledgeable care to expound on this?

Dear Mods, I was wondering if the Daily Threads in the index could be tagged on special days with whatever wonderful thing happened that day. I sometimes want to go back to look at stuff and can't remember what date they happened. For instance, for today just add "The Advocate Cover Story" after 10.17.2011 Daily News and Info. ???
Q3 comment: I will start doing this.

Delurking briefly here ;-) Don't you all think this int. was done in August in connection with the projcect mentioned in the editor's letter? It seems so to me when I read it? Also, please count me in if there is someone willing to send a magazine abroad (insert begging smiley here which I can't find in the 'select smiley' box ...sorry) :-) Yes, it was August. The editor's note Gelly linked to says it was. DMG got right to work, perhaps?? Yaay!! I knew print and covers would be part of their campaign \o/ Also, see my ETA above. I'm sure we can work out a system to get everyone covered w the actual mags. I haven't finished the thread yet but wanted to say I'd be glad to help get magazines to our international friends. Just let me know what I need to do when you figure out the best way to go about doing it.

Totally agree with this but my vote would be to always have the date first for continuity and then the main event/s
