To me, in the past Adam posted a lot of pictures in clubs and taking pictures with random guys or drag queens. I found it a bit boring. Some found it exciting to speculate about what was going on. Probably nothing most of the time other than a picture with a patron, lol. After he was a big hit on XFAU, he came home and went on a posting spree with many pictures and outings. As I understand, some said he lost a lot of followers after that. And some fans said I'm glad they left. For me, it was more that if the interest is not there in the gay club life, why would anyone want to follow what he was posting on social media? But he seems to be in a different place in his life now and I am happy for him. More grounded and content maybe? If he wants to be a bit protective of his life, I can give him a pass on that. New home. New love. A lot of things and pressure with his career. And maybe needing a moment to just live his life out of fan view when he can. I just want him to be happy and I don't need to know everything he and Javi are doing or how they are living at every moment. Javi would probably post a lot more but he understands that Adam is the celebrity so he can't just go crazy and tell everything even if he wants to. Doesn't it stand to reason that Adam is giving as much as he can or is comfortable with right now? What is the right amount? Fans have different needs so will all be satisfied with anything? Speaking for myself, I miss him when there is nothing career wise going on with him that he can share. But I get it that he has and needs his down time. And sometimes he is working on things we don't know about. He is also a businessman. So I just wait for the good stuff and scroll past the likes or posting about what his friends may of may not be doing. The concerts are so exciting that it is hard for me to get excited about his friends posing for pictures at a party or outing. I look for him and don't even see most of the others posing, lol.

svca , your calling Adam such an honest person reminded me of the first time I saw him in 2010 before his first show. My husband and I were walking around the grounds at Fantasy Springs when a black Mustang passed us and pulled into the driveway at the back of the theater building. It was Adam! There were a few people in the area and we walked up to greet him. He was so sweet and kind. He said we were in for a treat and signed whatever people had available. Then, like the honest person he is, said "I just drove in from LA and have to pee really badly" and crossed his legs and walked into the building, waving good-bye. All I remember was that he was so TALL and had streaks of blue hair... and what a smile! I have a photo but I don't know how to bring it over.

nica575 , can you tell me how to upload the photo? Yes, little did I know what the surprise treat was. Everyone in the audience had our mouths open and couldn't even breathe when he gave that other worldly, sensual performance!!!!!!!!

I think it needs to be on some outside photo site. If I want to post a photo I tweet it out and then post my tweet here...lol ... there must be a better way, may be someone knows...

I remember afterward, I put headphones into my audio recorder and about died when I heard it. Kept walking up to folks and saying "listen to this". Then we went back to the hotel and burned CD's so they could listen on their drives home. Good Times.

I don't think our discussion is so much doom and gloom as it is 10 years worth of experience of getting beyond excited and then getting disappointed. So like Linda says, it's more us trying to manage our expectations. I mean, as far as we're concerned the man with the voice in a billion should have total success right out the gate...but apparently the music business isn't really that much about talent as it is about playing the game. And I don't think "playing the game" is always that easy for Adam, he just seems like such an honest person. Sorry, i still think it's a bit premature to complain about promotion, that likely hasn't even begun yet. To me it's indisputable that Adams team have done a FANTASTIC job so far in getting Adams name out there, creating exposure. I simply trust that if "Superpower" is THE BIG BIG single, promotion will be accordingly.

I thing fans angst as an expression of their hopes and desires for the artist. It is OK.
Regarding playing the game -- it's a game that no one seems to win. So, perhaps it is best not to play?
