Oh my gosh!! That GMA segment was spectacular!!! Those close ups of Adam were amazing 🔥 and took my breath away!! I absolutely love Adam's all girl band ( hope the cute little drummer loses her gum for future performances tho) I don't know how you got that behind the scenes view but thank you sooo much!! Loved every second of it!! Watch the unseen footage of the anchors chatting among themselves and how excited they were for Adam. One female reporter admitted that she never voted for any TV shows before and she simply 'fell in love' with Adam!

I guess I'm not seeing the gay community as the most marginalized right now. Things aren't perfect but there a lot of other interest groups from gun control to immigration to environmental that could take this on as an anthem also. Thank you! I was puzzled to read that 'born this way' is a gay anthem. You can be straight and still feel you don't quite fit in. I'll wait for the whole song (Superpower) and if it's just an empowerment anthem, then i will Take it such.

Let’s hope it has as broad an appeal as possible! But again, if very few people hear it it doesn’t matter. and again, he and/or his team are doing close to nothing to promote it so far, less than a week away from the drop! When are they going to start? If there is no major label push then one would think they need to do the heavy lifting themselves, and that includes Adam. I find the current relaxed approach quite puzzling and even disturbing to some degree..

nica575Since I do not follow anyone else, what do you see others doing before an album drop that Adam and team are not doing? I am clueless and curious.

Oh and just to get this off my chest, none of the explicits and shits bother me in the slightest, but "aint"!!! Really Adam, "aint"?!? I feel like a third grade grammar teacher. Perhaps it will feel sassy in context.

Hmmm, looking critically at the Born This Way lyrics posted here, I will have to go with marionm. This is not explicitly a gay anthem; the wink and nod to drag queens aside (and are they all gay?). The only clear reference to something other than self-empowerment that I find is paws, so maybe furries (but likely not). It does however, obviously reference gay rights arguments prevalent at the time the song was written about homosexuality not being a choice, but lots of things are not a choice.

... This is not explicitly a gay anthem; ... This looks quite explicit to me: but then she also sings about race in the very next part Frankly the lyrics are quite long, so the explicit gay reference is easy to miss...

He's done a lot of promo for Velvet and for the other songs ( I know USA not so much) but it's hard to do a lot if the song isn't out there to play. It's not like this is a radio add date (gosh long time since we worried about those) but a song release. Empire's goal is to get it on Spotify etc playlists, especially of the ones that are still controlled by humans. They may have picked this song because it might appeal to more of the contacts (hip hop, rap etc) that Empire has already. Adam is quite a bit of an anomaly for them.
