I took the “Adam Lambert: In Photos” blog and fixed the timeline – oh, and added my own captions. Please make sure to check out Eric Schwabel’s original blog.

The Adam Lambert interview was part of The Advocate’s special report, A Day in Gay America. They accepted photos from readers across the nation who shared moments from their day on August 12.

And on August 12, I spent my day in LA (in my dreams!!!) following Adam. [Actually, I was at work in Ohio, but for a bit of fun....let's suspend reality.]

9:09 a.m. I woke up in my place at the beach – hazy morning. Had a fast Malibu breakfast (energy drink) and headed out. I notice the orange reserve light was on – “low fuel”. I hate getting gas. Next time I will buy an electric car. Well OK I do not want to run out of gas.



11:15 a.m. in Hollywood: I stopped at a Mobil gas station and saw Adam Lambert filling up the tank! [Electric car – I do not think so. I need to spend more time at gas stations.] He told me it was the start of a busy day. [HOT HOT HOT HOT.] Amazingly Adam invited me along!!



11:44 a.m. in Hollywood: Lambert downs a wheatgrass shot at Real Raw Live juice bar. Yes, I was there because he invited me along. I wanted to be cool and pretended I liked wheatgrass juice – the things we do for love.

Creative Director Scott McPherson worked with Lambert on the cover image. I had nothing to do with this ---- but Scott, may I say this is a great cover. Can you tell me how I can a real, printed copy????





The caption in the blog says, “Lambert gets ready for his cover shot.” But I heard part of the conversation. “Well, first you put your hand back like this and [muffled and I could not hear what was said.] Adam responded with a laugh and said, “Really! I never heard of that! Hmmmm [muffled and I could not hear what was said.]”

Matthew Breen, Advocate editor in chief, interviews cover man Lambert at the Conway Recording Studios. During this interview, Matthew was surprised when Adam asked him to set aside a few print copies for Adam and his friends. Matthew informed Adam that back issues are never a problem but agreed to set some copies aside and revealed the secret code that Adam can give to his friends so they can access the secret stash of printed copies of The Advocate.

2:02 p.m. They drove on and I lost them!! Adam is really tricky sometimes.



2:35 p.m. in Hollywood: Eric reported “Lambert records his new album at Conway Studios on Melrose Avenue.” So Eric, do you have any audio tape?????

As Neil Young once sang, “All in a dream. All in a dream.”
