What a very average effort from James. His phrasing in the verses is terrible! With all due respect, I don't hear any autotune on his vocals? Not hearing autotune either. I am hearing a bad Daughtry song without Chris Daughtry's powerful vocals. If they used autotune and got this, someone needs to be fired!

I'm just saying that I don't hear what sounds like a natural voice, kind of drowned out, I guess. His voice in the chorus sounds the same as everything else I hear on pop radio (when I have to listen that is). So much for "bringing metal back". I'll reserve my opinion of the voice until I hear it live - well not live - but youtube of live.

Best comment on MJ's: needs more cowbell I think I must have missed the discussion on cowbell. Can someone fill this dodo in on it's meaning. Please and thank you. ETA: Never mind, checked UD, cowbell - when something lacks everything and you need to enhance. Like it needs more cowbell.

There is something about the verses in the low register that sounds very autotuned to me. Something about the start of some of the words, particularly the consonants that sounds a little distorted, and some of the notes are a bit too.... exact. No color or finesse in them that the natural voice would produce. But, hey, I'm not an autotune expert. On the chorus, his voice is so covered I can't tell what he is singing. Funny, this doesn't sound at all like heavy metal to me. Actually, the Beg for Money track (not that I have listened to it, mind you -- well maybe I did find it on YT)sounds more heavy metal than this, and with much better, more interesting vocals. Not that I am buying either. I went and played Adam's first single, FYE, and Durbin's first single back to back. No comparison. FYE is much more interesting, has a much stronger dance beat, and the vocals????, a totally different league.

Best comment on MJ's: needs more cowbell Seriously, it's a very generic song and that includes his vocals. * shrugs* All I know is that 1) I'm listening to a boring song by someone I have no interest in and 2) I have BFM stuck in my head. I listened to the itunes snippet of it yesterday. I wanted to see if I still disliked it and I do. BUT, today when I was in my studio I was humming a tune and it was BFM : PLEASE, ADAM GIVE US A NEW SONG SOON!!

I don't know about the autotune, but I find it incredibly generic and mostly uninteresting. Daughtery would sing it better, but I still think it would be a boring song.
