There are some CASUAL fans and GENERAL MUSIC LISTENERS who are being fooled. Hard core fans are not the ones who are being fooled- it is the other type of buyers who are confused about BFM. There have been twitter messages and reports from fans about this. My DD texted me earlier this evening from college to ask me if I knew that Adam had a new single out? :  I explained the circumstances to her and she replied that "she better let Britney know that". Britney is a cute little freshman girl who lives two rooms over from DD and just happens to be an Adam fan. (She has pictures on her FB of Adam signing autographs outside from the GNT concert she attended. One of the pics has the caption "my future husband" under it! ) Britney had a Facebook status last night that read "Just got the new Adam Lambert song, I kinda hate it :( ". It may not be a HUGE number of people who are being fooled, but there is evidence out there that it is happening to some extent. >:( Once again, I am not referring to the hard core stans who visit fan boards on a daily basis or those who visit fan boards once a week or even a couple of times a month. I have a couple of friends who are fans, but don't know a single thing about Adam's upcoming releases or when tv appearances are coming up. The only way they know what is going on is if I tell them. :D We have no idea who is buying this --- but there are not massive numbers of people buying it so far. That was my only point. We know cute little Britney (who thinks of Adam as her future husband  bought it. We know from carrieb that two of her DD's friends downloaded BFM...and wanted to know WTF was up. We've seen twitter reports from people who have heard "Adam's new single" and they hate it. I am not saying that there are massive amounts of people buying it, but there are some people who are thinking BFM is Adam's new single. >:( |

Hi!
Not pro or anything in FB marketing, just been thinking about the most harmful way of handling the ads. As far as I understand, MW and his buddies are paying for those ads per click. So would it not be ~best if we all clicked on the banners when ever we saw them, and doing that used up their budget? If the fans can spend their ad budget, it would keep the banners from being shown to normal other people?
There must be some other sides to this, but like I said, not savvy enought to know. Does anyone else ?

It is not easy but can be done. Regarding the tweets -- there have been a handful of Tweets about fans listening to it and not liking "Adam's New Single" -- other Adam fans quickly explained. I am not saying it hasn't happened, just trying to maintain my perspective. |
