Ok, has anyone figured out why RCA seemingly hasn't done anything about the BFM thing? Are they really that lazy or something, or is this a case where they don't have any recourse so they aren't gonna fight it? Maybe they don't think it's a big deal so don't really care? It's confusing...I would think that any person claiming to have Adam's new music would be attacked, since 19 OWNS HIS SOUL FOREVER AND EVER. Lol. Ya know, protecting your interests and such.... Whatever...can we haz REAL new music nao? First of all --- I think it is important to keep these unofficial releases in perspective. BFM is on iTunes and is the #64 selling Adam track. In other words it is pretty much not selling. They will promote it, it will sell a bit more but right now all of the tracks from TO are outselling it. I do not think RCA can stop BFM. There was a unsubstantiated rumor flying around the web that RCA would get BFM pulled. It was from a undisclosed source. From what I can determine, this is a legal release and I do not believe that Adam, RCA or 19 has any way to stop it -- except to buy the recording master and that makes no financial sense. RCA has an exclusive license to Adam's music stating in June 2009 for 5 albums. This was recorded before the contract started. Adam, RCA and 19E/19R have legal recourse if there is false advertising involved with this album -- a claim that it is new music for example. Many of the corrections made so far, however, have been based on fan action and comments. BFM does not use the band name which may have been because Adam Lambert is a far more powerful brand OR because they were blocked from using Citizen Vein. I think it may be both. They also did not use Adam's photo on the album which they could have done -- similar to Take One. It is unfortunate that they are marketing this in a way that is confusing and makes some people think this is new Adam music -- for about 30 seconds -- but thankfully very, very few people are being fooled. Finally, I still do not understand why Adam supported LTL and Fozerilli's Digital Glitter tracks -- but not these recordings. There clearly is more going on than we know. I hope someday we learn the whole story. I guess I'll have to wait for the definitive biography.  ETA: I hope one of the things up The Advocate's sleeve is a second print run!! I have confirmation that they are really considering it. If you are interested, recommend emailing or tweeting them to request more printed copies. Just one message per fan but a demonstration of demand may be really useful right now. |

He tweeted that picture, so I figured he wouldn't mind me posting it here. Thanks to mys*&@^#r and others who told me about the book signing and encouraged me to tell him about it after I said he was one of my son's inspirations! He called me up when he got home saying it was one of the best experiences of his life, and that when he talked to Nile his heart was actually beating fast and everything. Nile, for him, is Adam's Madonna. I told him that now he understood how I felt the few times I saw Adam, LOL. Also, he thanked me for being the "coolest and best mom in the world" for knowing about it and telling him when and where it was happening and being the reason he got to meet his idol and even talk with him. I told him it was because I had the the coolest friends here at Atop, who seem to know everything, LOL, so thanks to all of you who help keep me in the know and share all your expertise here. Honestly, I have learned so many things here, from music to vocals to radio to marketing to really getting comfortable with technology. I even volunteered at school this year to pilot new interactive technology in my classroom. Who would have thought pre-Adam? So see, stanning him for ridiculous amounts of hours has not been a waste of time as far as productivity goes. Okay, it has caused me to lose a little sleep... |

Fonzerelli and LTL both went through proper channels and obtained permission before release. They advertised honestly as well.

These are all lovely, but I think it's kind of an unspoken internet no-no to rip other people's avi's and use them without asking. What if someone took an avi you created from here at Adamtopia and started using it as their own? Just a thought. |
