I recently finished watching the second season of Damages (3 seasons are completed and two more in production). It is a smartly written drama that will hook you right away. A-list talent, rich and complex characters, suspense...I love it!!!

Okay, I'm not sure if we're allowed to plug other websites here, and if not Q3, please feel free to delete. But this is somewhat Adam inspired. I've been dealing with major writing block on a book that I've been working on for awhile, and hanging out at Adamtopia has been a great inspiration for me. I decided I need to do something completely different to try to shake up my creative juices. I'm a novice web designer, so I put together a site and started writing movie reviews. I also suffer from motion sickness induced by shaky hand-held cameras, and that inspired the hook of the site, which is called Flicks that make me sick. Utilizing the awesome skills I picked up here, I've had a blast designing and writing it, and I'd love to have Adamtopians check it out! flicksthatmakemesick.wordpress.com/

I don't know if this is ok to post but in this time of Adam starvation, I've been looking again at the YouTubes of Strictly come Dancing (DWTS - UK) and really wanted to share them with someone who appreciates beauty. That to me meant pretty much anyone on ATop On the last season we had a soap star - Kara Tointon - dancing and to me, almost everything she did was exquisite. My absolute favourite was the rumba (despite a miniscule wobble), but almost everything in the last 5 weeks or so was just stunning. Bruno got so excited after commenting on the Tango that he fell off his chair :D. BTW: she did win. - Artem just came over from the US I believe and is a brilliant choreographer. I would love someone else to have a look and perhaps, hopefully, share my 'gushing' . (The dances themselves are less than 2 minutes each, honest :-/) Sorry, I got a a bit carried away :-[;

I'm not really in any way, shape or form, a film buff but did very much appreciate the writing and the site itself. I'm going to pass this along to my daughter's BF, who is all those things I disclaimed and a writer, to boot. I'm sure he'll enjoy it. btw; what is the traffic like? Are you still enthused?

Hey justgill!
I was on my site earlier today posting my review of SUper 8 and I noticed there was a flurry of activity. Imagine my surprise when I checked the stats and saw it came from adamtopia! I didn't think anyone ever came to this sub forum - apparently not a lot of moviegoers in the adam fan clubs. I'm still blogging and I get about 50 hits per entry which isn't much but I really enjoy it so what the hell - I'll keep doing it until it's boring. I don't post much on atop anymore because by the time I get on, it seems like everthing has been said, but I still lurk for news. Hmmm - maybe I should review 2012. That would get people's attention!
Loved your ballroom videos - I was a huge fan of the movie Strictly Ballroom. Which came first, the movie or the TV series? And what exactly does Strictly Come Ballroom mean? That Come always seems oddly placed to me.

Do do 2012, especially the song - don't you dare put a barf bag on that . As for the dancing, I'm so pleased you had a look. It's actually called 'Strictly come Dancing'. We had a show in the UK that ran for decades, called 'Come Dancing' featuring ballroom experts and show dancers. I think when they decided to run with the fad of celebrity contestants, they took the 'Strictly' from the film as it was fairly current at the time just to update it. Kara really was something special though. It was commented on by a couple of the judges, that she was the best they'd had, and they've had a few really good ones over the years!

There's a series which has just started on the BBC called "Secrets of the Pop Song" about the process of songwriting. The first episode was Rufus Wainwright and Guy Chambers (who has written a lot with Robbie Williams) writing a ballad. It also has contributions from other people talking about their big songs (in this episode: Sting, Boy George, Diane Warren). The next episode is Guy Chambers and Mark Ronson writing a breakthrough single with a new artist. This is the iplayer link which will work for UK people: www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b012fzzs/Secrets_of_the_Pop_Song_Ballad/I don't know if international people will have a link to be able to watch it in the US and elsewhere? Maybe surfthechannel.com? ETA: Just taking a trip down memory lane on youtube - this is Angels which Robbie Williams wrote with Guy Chambers and secured his solo career. Damn this is a big crowd. I forgot how big this concert was for him:

Reihmer, at about the third season I decided I wanted to watch so I got the first season DVD from Netflix. I really enjoyed it and intended to continue but didn't and now, even though I am streaming Netflix, I feel so far behind that I don't think I could ever catch up.
I am an avid Fringe watcher, though.
Also, I just watched the first (and only) season of Sherlock Holmes and am looking forward to more installments. They have re-imagined it for current time and I love the way they combined traditional Holmesian skills with technology and the way they flirt with Holmes' sexuality.
