LOL I think Adam can afford to spend 1,000 on boots since he wears the damn things enough to more than pay for themselves. Also he probably gets some sort of bulk discount on black clothing so he saves there as well.

[ I grew up in Asian until late teen before I moved to oversea. As a teen I was heavily affected by the POP culture in our daily life. At that time, I was hooked to the most famous POP singer known as Asian Madonna, only she could sang very well live, dance songs and Ballads. She was very dedlcated to music, her style always reflected her life experiences. This was her last concert and the song was called "sunset melody". Before she sang, she said:"This song is from my heart and soul, although the sunset is beautiful, it will be gone in seconds, become the past. We have to treasure each minute and second." At the end she said she married to the Stage. :'(Six weeks later, she passed away and I cried for a few days. Never thought I would find another one until I saw Adam on the internet. It must be the theatrical sense of music that deeply rooted in my past culture, I find Adam very similar to her, not the style of music but the ways they both represented on Stage, very dramatic and theatrical . And Adam's vocal is very powerful. His FS WLL had shown more of his ability to music and I know I have the right one. Something in his voice touches me very very deeply. Of course, there are shallow sides involve. :)Writing English still a challenge to me! Hope it is OK to bring some other culture to this place! Iceish, I just wanted to let you know how much I loved your post. Like you, I had a first love ... Elvis. I am probably one of the youngest people who can claim to have been a fan before he died (I was 12). We were an Elvis household. I loved him and we all cried when he died, felt that we had lost more than a singer. Elvis was like a brother or a friend. I never even looked for another one and that was one of the things that hit me like a ton of bricks about Adam. And it wasn't his looks, though I love them, of course. It was the way he made me feel. Mischa, just wanted to let you know when I said "we" should get ready to welcome all the tons of new fans, I didn't mean anything specific about Adamtopia. I just meant "we" in the sense of those who are fans before Album #2 changes everything! Now Adam ... for crying out loud can we hear some music?

America voted for Adam. He was runner-up. (We all know the reason why he wasn't the winner. >:() America voted for Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood as winners. They voted for Haley this past year despite the fact that TPTB and the judges tried to get rid of her. America voted for Scotty this year in a huge way, he was basically untouchable on Dial Idol. They voted for Scotty due to his vocal ability. So far, it looks as if he will have a gold album by Black Friday and that still leaves a few weeks of Christmas buying ahead. When you look at live performances on awards shows or from other outlets, there are two types of artists who consistently sound good live: Those from AI (Kelly, Adam, Carrie, Scotty, Daughtry, Jennifer) and Country Music artists. There were very few artists who sounded good at the AMAs two years ago. Kelly Clarkson, Lady Antebellum and a couple of other country artists were the exceptions. Kelly and LA were the stars of the night and their singles took off and exploded on the charts after their performances. Kelly Clarkson covering a Carrie Underwood song this past week: www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=0ZAQuMF-oeoIMO, Kelly should drop the pop songs and go the Adele route. This something you don't know: They voted for Scotty due to his vocal ability. It may be true, but might not. People vote for all kinds of reasons. I will say that many of us realized that Scotty would win early on. atop.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ai10&action=display&thread=65Why did people vote for Adam on AI? Vocal ability? Rawk God? Elvis factor? Different and exciting? If we think many voters voted for Adam due to his voice, why wouldn't we think many voted for Scotty because of his voice? There are always several factors that go into why the public votes for someone. Scotty's single, EP and album sales numbers are backing up the assumption on my part that some of the voters actually liked Scotty's voice. Will he continue to improve and grow into a mature performer? No one knows at this point, because he is so young and inexperienced. He has the tools and the desire and seems to be unusual mature for his age. Time will tell. This is so true!!! We will see these boots a hundred more times over the next couple of years! The man sure loves his boots and jackets!
