Holst I DID pm glamnana 10 days ago and I asked her if she was all right. I also told her that if she was too tired to respond just a simple smiley will do for me. A couple of days ago, she responded, sending me just that. A smiley :  I hope she lurks at Atop and she's recovering.

A lot of people are assuming that RCA did something to stop BFM from being released. I am not sure that is what is going on.
RCA seemed to be most interested in two things ---
1. Getting information about false advertising claims that made BFM seem like Adam's new album and new single.
2. Containing fans and keeping them from tweeting and emailing and phone radio stations and retailers to complain about BFM.
IF this was about false advertising -- The BFM single should be gone. The Paramount Session with the deceptive press release and promotion would be gone.
IF someone got an injunction -- there would be a public filing. There is none.

Adam publicly tweeted about the release -- his Malcolm tweet and clearly did not want it released.
No one from RCA, 19E, DMG or other Adam rep commented officially on the release. (Excluding a thread started by a fan moderator on AO.com -- which contains no official statement.)
The album presale was not doing very well.
Fan response -- even from most CV-Adam fans -- was extremely negative.
Most retailers has pulled the BFM album from pre-sale. Amazon provided only a vague explanation that
The BFM single is still for sale.
Monte pulled down his comments and blog post.
This is the third time an album with these tracks was going to be released -- 2009 On With The Show, 2010 Take Two, 2011 Beg For Mercy.

There are many possible explanations for why this album presale was stopped. One of the least likely is that RCA did it. My guess is that it is Adam, not RCA.
That said, I do not think this is permanently gone. Just like it was not permanently gone the last 2 times.

aspenI love your post. So true. I often wonder though about all these people that discovered Adam after AI, just watching a video clip and got into the rabbit hole along with the rest of us. I'm always interested to listen to their stories. What was it that made them search further about him? Usually (I must say ALWAYS) when I listen to a new artist and I love him, I just listen to the song, maybe buy his album etc. But I don't try to do a whole research about him. It's truly fascinating. Something magical happens when you listen to his voice, your feelings explode, just like us when we listened to "mama" that's the only thing I can say. I don't think it is that different. If you watch one of his videos on Youtube they suggest you other videos, for example his stuff from AI and if you start with one of them you cannot stop :D. But i cannot remember which video I watched on youtube, it cannot be any official video, because i cannot watch them on youtube ??? |

Just an OT update. I did mention that the Guardian UK music put out the bare bones of a web page for Adam a little while ago that I corresponded with. I heard nothing back so tried again: Hi, I did write a couple of times previously about data for this page, but got no reply either time."...............we currently have no biography for Adam Lambert. We hope to fill in the gaps on this page soon."There is a wealth of detailed information about Adam's progress, performing throughout his school years, touring Europe with 'Hair' moving on to LA clubs, Broadway and eventually using American Idol to break through into pop.
