I paid 30 $ to buy the Rolling Stone issue 2 years later, but it was because of the circumstanses that I couldn't buy it when it first came out and it is part of his history so I finally found it and bought it. I honestly wish I knew who these "fans" are. If I was living in the US I would just buy them and gift them not auction them. Not gonna get my money. ^^^ See my above post (4 up.) I don't know why you all are assuming these are fans selling these. Obviously, the regular subscribers, because of all the Advocate contests, know that this issue is a HOT commodity. If they've got one and are not a Glambert, then why not sell it? It's a rare magazine that many Glamberts want and can't get. Sounds smart to me. :-/ |

Someone has something that someone else wants, boom-- money gets made. However, wasn't there a way for non-subscribers to get copies? I remember people on Twitter passing around a phone number where you could call and order physical copies. I called but all I got was a recording, and then later I saw people saying they'd sold out. Bottom line, I wish they'd just print more copies because obviously there are more people who want them. |

I wasn't DTRH when the Details and Rolling Stone magazines came out. Didn't even know about the former at the time. So, months later, when I just absolutely HAD to have copies, I paid thru the nose to get them, and was happy to. They are now both framed and on display.
Since I cannot buy a copy thru legitimate retail means, I am definitely considering buying this as well. The cover photo is incredible. It would look great framed with the other two. It does seem to me to just be capitalism at work. Some folks who subscribe, got this copy, and, not being Glamberts, decided to sell it to the highest bidder.

I don't have a problem with anyone auctioning a copy....I DO question how someone got 10 (but whatever :  I'll consider going to eBay when it's verified that I can't get the issue any other way..... not relishing spending $40+. I don't LOVE the photo (way too airbrushed for me) but I LOVE the article. ...so we'll see. edit/ stacy francis. Not a fan. She oversings everything IMHO. |
