The "fan" scalping those Advocates might surprise you, don't know, a monte apologist and widely known as a stalker type, but the answer is on twitter and at FYE too. I was surprised and now I learn she's messing with the bidding. Just leaves a bad taste for me and not a real cool thing to do imho. To quote Adam, "some folks will do anything to make a buck, fuck." I was trying to see if Cafe Magazine might have copies of the Advocate but when I went to the website it says that the site is temporarily unavailable.  I've used this place before to get Adam magazines. |

^^^ See my above post (4 up.) I don't know why you all are assuming these are fans selling these. Obviously, the regular subscribers, because of all the Advocate contests, know that this issue is a HOT commodity. If they've got one and are not a Glambert, then why not sell it? It's a rare magazine that many Glamberts want and can't get. Sounds smart to me. :-/ You're right mys*&@^#r. ITA. It's just that a certain "fan" name is making rounds on twitter. I'm not gonna talk about it, if I'm not 1000% sure about this. That's why I wrote what I wrote. Otherwise it's business I agree. Well, if it's the fan name I just heard rumored, then I am not surprised. BIG Monte supporter and I imagine she would love to "stick it" to any Glambert. Oh well, I'm not paying that much for a magazine. And I have no control over scalpers, so not gonna get my panties in a twist over it. |

That changes the back story a bit! ??? Haha! True. Interesting! On one level, it is amazing how much talent is out there beating the streets and shows how Adam was a pioneer in other ways – breaking through for the musical theater people into pop artist, which seemed to be a "never the twain shall meet" taboo in the past. I can't give her too much grief about the backstory because those things are often producer manipulated. They may have been interviewing her for a day and they are likely skilled at drawing this stuff out. When I was watching some of the old episodes of "Idolatry" a couple of weeks ago, one of the people interviewed talked about the Danny Gokey backstory and they said, "I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt, for now, but if HE starts milking it ... all bets are off!" I had to agree with that approach. Yeah, and that over-long note was a bad misstep – especially with no context for it. If she has all that experience, she should know better, but I'll still give her the benefit of the doubt because she seems cool and very talented. |

Yes, her backstory is ignoring the fact that she had a very good role on Broadway for 3 years! She left it to try her luck in Hollywood. She didn't make it there. So basically, her backstory is composed of half truths. ETA: Adam just started following her. And I agree with the person who said, she over sings everything. Not a fan of hers. :( |

Did anyone get a definite "no go" on a second printing from The Advocate? If not, maybe someone can contact them to determine how many issues it would take for them to do a second printing.
