There's a big write-up and picture of Kelly Clarkson in USA Today. The interesting point she makes on page 2D is that Ryan Tedder wrote "Already Gone" for her and it sounded "eerily similar to Beyonce's "Halo". She felt he lied to her saying the songs were completely different, however, millions of people thought they were very similar. It's bad press for Ryan Tedder.

What's a DT rumor? I follow a lot of people and have not seen any mention of a January rumor. It was angsting pure and simple. January was mentioned on Twitter before it was mentioned here – it's just people worrying and spinning worst-case scenarios. No one said they heard, thought they heard or it is going to be January – they were worrying about another week going by with NO NEWS and trying to figure out the timing. As mys*&@^#r very clearly stated earlier in the thread, IF we don't hear anything by the end of next week, AND timing remains consistent with how Kelly, Daughtry, Cook, Avril, etc. released, coupled with the holiday freeze, then January is the next logical leap. Twitter worriers didn't need to get any ideas from Atop, they had already started the worrying. Yes, it's worrying and yes, it's spinning worst-case scenarios, but those that have been spun before (2012! 8 weeks! No Longer! October! No longer! November! ... *crickets* on Oct. 24 ...) have come true up until now, as much as I hate to admit that. The worriers have been right far more than the optimists in this little predication game. What is a DT rumor? Do you mean a DM rumor? I agree, Susie. The January single release scenerio has been on other fanboards and on Twitter for WEEKS! It didn't just start today and it most certainly did not originate from ATOP! Sadly, your last statement is a valid point.  ITA it did not originate here and has been around for weeks. And it has been posted here for weeks too. The whole Adam fandom is interconnected like a jigsaw puzzle. But today was the first time I saw claims that it was more than a scenario -- that someone had info from RCA -- but I believe that is a baseless claim. As far as I can find out, there is still no release date for the lead single. |

Thanks for the congrats everyone! So happy I won a magazine. And wow we had 5 winners from Atop - cool. I wonder how many they gave away total?
I got Kelly's album for $5 from Amazon MP3 (I think it's still going on) - I like some of the songs but I NEED ADAM music!
This waiting and lack of info. is driving me craaaaaazy!

Because if they don't know, then where are we? Screwed in Januaryville, that's where. Yeah, and how did April now get tossed into the mix? Didn't Corson very clearly say: Definitely first quarter of 2012? April is second quarter. Seriously, I'm going to get an ulcer from all this. And yes, I do believe the latter collaborations are fantastic and that was one of the ways I consoled myself while processing 2012 – that he had last-minute collab opportunities that he had to pursue and to do that, the date would need to be moved back. kapsiz: Adam said not long ago that it is a colored pomade that he uses, which would indicate to me it is not permanent and he doesn't need his hairdresser to do it every time. |
