I'll beg to differ on the how often or for what. They do it less than they used to but often now it is for night breathing issues. Always breathing thru the mouth can lead to some facial structure issues later on. My DS had his out at 5 years. He went to the store afterwards with us to get a movie and would have happily returned to dothe surgery all over again the next day. Pays to both do it young and have a great surgery team and pre-op nurses.

Now what Adam had done later in life was a septoplasty where they straightened his septum and probably scraped his turbines a bit too. I did this in May of this year and the end of my nose is still tender and not the same even if I do breathe easier. The swelling was not fun since they had to break a cheekbone to make everything even. I guess that probably wouldn't effect the voice as much as tonsils but could factor into any slight naselness anyone hears.
