Kelly is doing well in the UK, but not as well in most of the other European countries. Adam was a big hit in some of the other countries listed on this chart, he just didn't do well in the UK. Are you thinking that the other countries in Europe will pick up on Kelly's success so far in the UK, and follow their lead? Adam was a big hit in some countries but unfortunately it stays in the particular country. Europe watches MTV UK. And the UK has so many UK X Factor artists that they have to promote , also the artists that come from Britain's Got Talent, so it's really hard.Last year BBC radio admitted it, when they were asked by fans why they don't play Adam so much. They said that they want to promote UK artists, UNLESS they become really big like Gaga. And about Kelly, I honestly don't know. I was going to wait until some UK peeps addressed this, but I read a few posts or articles about nine months ago that said the Radio2 situation had been restructured a bit, so now it doesn't have absolute dominance over what is being played in the UK. They still have the most say, but not the only say. Hoping to get more details from those in the UK or anyone else who knows how it all works.

OMG!! Do not even ... I will never leave and have to go to family thing this morning. But if anyone else has a bit of time and needs a laugh, it's priceless. Thanks, mys*&@^#r!! LOVE that jacket. I have to say, the "kids" over at ONTD-AI just crack me up. They have the best macros ever. They drove me crazy eventually and I made my way here. However, they do make me laugh.

All I'm saying is that Adam needs ONE BIG hit. Just one. If he gets this hit in the UK then I'm sure he will win everyone's heart. If people in the UK start to watch his live performances on TV and his interviews they will not look back. And remember a long time ago that we talked about live shows. Kesha is huge in the UK and she wasn't able to sell out the same venue in London that Adam performed, Shepherd's Bush. Adam's concert sold out in 10 minutes and Kesha's show was about 2 weeks after Adam's show and by the time we got there, tickets were still available. So IMO again all Adam needs is a big hit. Same situation with Bruno Mars (in Birmingham I think? or in Manchester? I really don't remember but it was a really small venue) So radio is one thing and live shows is another. But I'm sure if Adam makes one radio hit in the UK, he will be able to fill bigger venues in minutes. SusieFierce said something about the radio situation in the UK. I wish some UK Atopers who listen to the radio would tell us more about it.

Hearing this news about Adele makes me grateful beyond words that Adam received the vocal training and education to know how to warm up and sing properly. I was thankful before because it helps him sing as marvelously as he does, but knowing how to maintain your voice is of paramount importance and something most "pop" stars pay no attention to. One more thing Leila and Eber did right- and thank God they did. How horrible for Adele to be derailed at this point in her success. Even if she does recover 100% she will have missed a large part of riding the wave of a lifetime. I hope she is able to pick up right where she left off.

A Yahoo article about Adele's upcoming surgery said this about when she canceled the US tour:
"Earlier this month, the 23-year-old canceled a U.S. concert run due to a hemorrhage in her vocal chord; she also canceled concerts in June due to laryngitis."
Does this description give more info about what kind of surgery she may need? I wish her well!
peace&love
