ok, I left in the morning - 4 pages, 19 now, my hands are shaking cause I figure something BIG got confirmed! EMAS????? I have only a few mins before I have to leave again - WHAT HAPPENED????? Catz, just read your post, sooo sorry! Can't believe what your putting up with! I know some great Mauri war dance music you could blast back over the fence. Believe it or not my husband used to play in an international band called The New Zealand Connection. They were mostly a vegas rock and show band but during the middle of the show the two Mauri members did this war dance with a war chant, firey batons, balls on the end of ropes (which I think are called poi) walking on glass. It was great fun and the audience loved it! Anyway I think the war chant would scare the shit out of your neighbours HAHA. Anyway, glad the authorities are on board. If you have to send in the troops, go full on! You deserve to have peace in your own home.  TY bb and I hope YOUR day has got betterer and you haven't had to sell the family jewels  LOL I am fascinated to know that there was an international NZ Vegas rock and show band.... this boggles my mind And yup, the Maori war dance is called a Haka and is very powerful. I'd link a YT for you all to watch normally if this had been a slow news day. But it isn't... #bert - #bert - #bert - #bert Oooh and great first name BTW - it takes one to know one ;D First off sorry I mispelled Maori. Its been many years. The band was from New Zealand and all Maori. The keyboard player was going blind and had to retire so my husband auditioned in Canada where we lived at the time, he was from Birmingham England. Anyway he got the job and we went on tour with the band. It was fantastic! We travelled all over the US and Canada for about five years. They were very popular. We had to settle down in the US once my son turned five so he could attend school. My husband has since passed away but I'm still in touch with two of the members every once in a while. I know they both go back to New Zealand to visit family. Wonderful memories and by the way the time was 1970's so a long time ago! Bringing this back to Adam, watching extremely talented people never quite make it to that final peak, I'm thrilled for him and feel part of it all being here with you and the others! What a ride!!!!!!  |

Actually it isn't really gone. Just the manager of the bar isn't there anymore, but the bar is the same, no renovations or anything has been done on it. Or wasn't done a while ago, not sure now. Glad you de-lurked. |
