TM stands for Trademark and Jacob is Jacob from TWOP. I was giving him a citation because I stole the line from him (he originally wrote it about Danny). That was kind of a running joke in the Planet Fierce days; if we used anyone else's "isms," we'd flag it with TM in order to give them credit and make sure everyone knew it didn't originate with us.
NEGL, this ridiculous lawsuit was giving me visions of Adam being gorgeous and dazzling in court while charming the hell out of everyone in the room. Of course, the plaintiffs would look like the trolls that they are.
A few attorneys were discussing it on Twitter and one said that the suit was requesting Federal Court (wat??). Well, the Federal Court in SoCal is in my county, so c'mon down! I get called for jury duty like clockwork, but have never done Federal Court. Could be a first time for everything.
BTW, I'm totally kidding. I know the chances of this ever making a jury trial are almost nil, but the scenario would be hilarious.

This seems incredibly penny-ante. I don't see how Adam has in any way infringed on copyrights for any of the old Citizen Vein songs. This just seems like harassment. Am I missing something? Twitter thinks is has to do with "about not hindering or undermining finished product." As in Adam undermined their product  when he disavowed the old music. That's what I am thinking. The first thought that crossed my mind is if they were releasing legal copyrighted music and Adam/TPTB (and even wondering if Adam fans would be an aiding force if they infer interference via direction/enuendo - ie twitter storm they received) harmed or otherwise smeared their legal business or reputation. I can't see it being anything else but we don't know what is/did go on behind the scenes. At least it doesn't sound like the awards if found at fault are too great. Anything is shitty, but another gate in the making I guess. |

I have to tell someone who will understand (the 4 dogs are just ignoring me now; their bellies are full and they want to nap). Just brought in my mail and I'm flailing so hard! I was already so happy that Adam will be on my tv Sunday, but now my friend's sweet son has surprised me by sending me his copy of The Advocate! I have lots of Adam's pics on my computer, but the hard copy makes me soooo happy. *sitsandstares* Aww!! Yaay!! Congrats!!  |
