I'm wondering if Neil made the same mistake I did . .
When I first learned he said 11/11/11 at 2PM PST - I thought "Hey! That would be 11AM EST!!"
After I stopped squeeing and settled down, I did the math. Do you think maybe Neil had the time change backwards, just like me? I mean, 11/11/11 at 11 (:11??) is about as crazy as man-construed timekeeping can be. And it does signal the dawning of the Age of Aquarius!!!
Oh, let the sun shine in!!!!!!!!!!!! FIANLLY!!!

My sister has 3G wireless service for her notepad computer, which she so kindly is letting me use briefly. So, despite being computer/internet-less this weekend, I am able to check in for a moment. Thanks to crazylady for keeping me informed. The problem with the song is not in the writing, unless the commenter means no one should write a song that spans two octaves. (yes, it is C3 to D5 --- very weakly). Which would mean that Can't Let You Go is badly written. It is slightly over 2 octaves in range. And Aftermath also has a two octave plus range. Fever is two octaves. WWL sometimes was 2.5 octaves. In GNT, Adam nightly sang from C#3 to F#5 during the concert. 2+ octaves. When he was especially frisky, he pushed it a couple of notes higher. The difference is that Adam has a strong, usable 2+, almost 3 octave range. James, not so much. His low register, used in the verses, is very weak and underdeveloped. No resonance, no support, no intensity. The top of his range is a bit brittle and lacks control. Overall, he doesn't have the breath support to sustain phrases. Oh, BTW, is this song what is now called heavy metal???? No, this is the pop song released by the "Give Metal A Chance" dude who wasn't going to sell out his fans. LOL

I didn't think this song was an unusually hard song to sing and I also figured Adam could sing these notes in his sleep...when he had the flu. James did always seem to have a pretty good range, he just had trouble actually, you know, staying on pitch. That is unusual for an Idol with a record deal. They are usually pretty decent singers. Yes, this is what is considered metal now. James is doing metal "in the vein of MCR and 30STM", or so he says. :

Hoppers so sorry to hear about your loss. But you'll have so many fond memories to hold on to and make you smile. Momtomany if you're here, I PM'd you! The EMA's come on here (Central time) at 5:00PM and go until 7:30PM on Uverse channel 506. I still believe Adam will be singing with Queen. Wouldn't it be great if they had Adam sing one cover then one of the songs Freddie wrote but was too sick to perform? Now that would be BIG! ;D My uverse also says they come on on channel 506. However, when I use the guide to check 506, it doesn't exist. My guide jumps from 505 to 507. :-/ Maybe that's because there is no programming now? I don't know. I will go on the uverse website tomorrow and chat with a trouble-shooter. I've also tried putting the 2011 European Music Awards into the search and nothing comes up. And I have a pretty deluxe package. My next option is to check AppleTV and On Demand and then, if worse comes to worse, take my HDMI cable from my Apple TV and plug into my computer so I can watch the stream on my TV. I whined about not being able to get the broadcast but when the time was corrected on here from 4pm to 6pm, I found it - on 2 channels. Verizon 273 and 1660, and I made sure I could receive both. Obviously one of the educational channels....... 16 AND PREGNANT was on when I was testing them.
