This lawsuit is so ridiculous! I can't even But as always, I have opinions-
1. Idol knew all about these recordings and I have every faith that their legal folks went over everything with a fine tooth comb. And while I don't remember a specific interview where he talked about these specific contracts, J. Scott G talked about not proceeding with his work with Adam when Idol came along, and he's talked about other working arrangements that needed to be taken care of before Idol. Didn't Fonzarelli mention something like this too? I can't imaging that Adam just happened to forget this particular contractual relationship. Or that Idol wouldn't have found it if he did.
2. If these creeps really thought that they had a contractual claim to Adam they would have come forward as soon as he started to hit it big. That would be more than two years ago- did it just occur to them that they should assert their claim?
3. They can't make the case that they EVER did any work on his behalf. They have had these recordings a very long time and there is nothing to suggest that they did anything with them until after Idol. Adam should sue THEM for breach of contract for ineffective representation or something (I know that's about lawyers, but there must be something similar for this kind of representation),
4. I could actually probably keep going for a whole bunch more numbers. I'll stop now.
These idiots are trying to intimidate Adam and RCA. I'm not skeered, I doubt Adam is skeered, and I prefer to think of them as the laughing stocks that they are. Laughter is very good for your health, or so I've been told. I'm find it easy to laugh at these fools.
I don't have even a single iota of concern that these lawsuits will be taken seriously. I don't see any reason for Adam to be upset- it's highly unlikely that he was surprised by this. He's off having a blast at the EMA's and in the UK and whatever else he and Sauli decide to get up to. I doubt that he's given this a moments thought since he left.
And my last thought is that, given the way the universe has been loving all over Adam lately, karma is going to be a serious bitch to this crowd of evildoers. (Anybody ever see Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11? I will forever more be amused by the term evildoers). They should beware of pianos falling out of buildings.
