Almost 500 posts about this in the Adam thread at MJ's. 99% are gushing and postive, but as an example of how far people will reach someimes, someone said Adam is not theatrical enough to sing these songs!! LOL! hahaha...this person (marchle ) is consistently hearing challenged and is actually pretty funny (mods delete if I am overstepping):" Adam's vocals faltered in several places. He's also not very good at the rapid fire phrasing in "We Will Rock You". Karaoke-ish, once again. He didn't manage to capture the meaning and emotions behind Freddie Mercury's incredibly written lyrics, and as it is, the performance felt empty and lacked power. Love knowing that he had fun, though. ... I actually feel sorry for this poor soul...

I still can barely wrap my mind around the idea that Queen asked Adam to do this with them. They were being honored for their lifetime achievement, on a worldwide stage, and they could have had ANYONE. And they chose Adam. For the whole medley of 3 songs. My heart can barely take it. Our Adam... I hope we hear from Brian, Roger, and Adam how it all came about. ^^^^^^^^THIS, THIS, THIS, oh so much THIS ^^^^^^^^

Regarding Much Music Canada cutting out The Show Must Go On!
That was ridiculous but fortunately it seems it's Only in Canada!
Feel free to tweet @muchmusic or send an email to muchmail@muchmusic.com . The show gets replayed a number of times in the next couple of weeks and I hope that new potential fans will see the entire performance.
Royally pissed off!!

Watching this performance really made me realize that Adam belongs in arenas. He really does!! He does. My first thought was Adam needs to do a runway show. He and his Rick Owens were perfectly at home on the catwalk.

Serious answer here. No one in the pop/rock scene currently. Not even close. Male or female. No other viable choice if Queen wanted it to sound like it did. Hi cassie - to my ears it sounded like Adam used more vibrato than usual in this performance. I'm curious if you agree and if so, why do you think he chose to do that? I agree that he used a prominent vibrato. I hear it as a stylistic thing. He did it on Soaked in GNT as well. I think it evokes drama in high order. OTT. One can't do Freddy without super drama vocally and visually. The vibrato adds a type of sophistication, class, and a classical touch to my ears. Instead of the hard rock piercing wails. Freddy enjoyed adding classical references in his compositions. Lots of sophistication, musically. He also sometimes used a lot of vibrato. What is amazing about the performance (well, what isn't?) is how powerful Adam sounded, how fierce, how commanding, and yet, there was not a smidge of strain or stress in his voice. A very classical, legitimate sounding powerhouse, that somehow totally fit with Queen's classic rock.
