Here I am, a mid-life person trying to explain to my parents this evening (by phone) why I just sat on the couch all day berting over Adam...I think my mom understands my condition and just sighs when I flail... too funny! Haha! Me too.....I accomplished absolutely nothing today. I think my husband is fed up with me.....muttered something and marched off to bed.) (I've got to be productive tomorrow.... )

Adam's performance with Queen has already been added to the Wikipedia entry for The Show Must Go On. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Show_Must_Go_On_(Queen_song)Live recordings-At the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards, Queen closed the awards ceremony, with Adam Lambert on vocals, performing "The Show Must Go On", "We Will Rock You" and "We Are The Champions".[11]

brookesauce75 Brooke Wendle What an amazing moment in your journey @adamlambert 1-11-111 age of Aquarius bitches! 1 minute ago Well, isn't that an interesting tweet! Hmmm, does Brooke know something that we have been guessing about?! timing is everything and would be perfect timing to release that single on the back of the buzz around this performance. But then I am sure it has all been planned out for ages. Would love to know how long this gig has been in the works.

Hi cassie - to my ears it sounded like Adam used more vibrato than usual in this performance. I'm curious if you agree and if so, why do you think he chose to do that? I agree that he used a prominent vibrato. I hear it as a stylistic thing. He did it on Soaked in GNT as well. I think it evokes drama in high order. OTT. One can't do Freddy without super drama vocally and visually. The vibrato adds a type of sophistication, class, and a classical touch to my ears. Instead of the hard rock piercing wails. Freddy enjoyed adding classical references in his compositions. Lots of sophistication, musically. He also sometimes used a lot of vibrato. What is amazing about the performance (well, what isn't?) is how powerful Adam sounded, how fierce, how commanding, and yet, there was not a smidge of strain or stress in his voice. A very classical, legitimate sounding powerhouse, that somehow totally fit with Queen's classic rock. Reading your evaluation makes me tear up as much as the actual performance. I must be an insecure twit and need someone else to validate my opinion - well, hundreds have validated it, but your informed commentary was what I needed. Thank you.

I've spent the last hour saying - ok, I'll just watch the YT once more and then I'm going to bed; ok, I'll just... But this time I really mean it. : ETA - Actually, this time I muted the sound and really just watched. His body language is so powerful, every movement is clean and strong and takes you over.

You always write such clear, thoughtful and meaningful explanations, I really appreciate it. I totally agree about how powerful the vocals were throughout the entire performance, that is what just blew me away!
