We keep talking about this from Adam's point of view. However, what if you are QUEEN and Freddie has been gone for a long time and you are wondering if you will ever find someone to sing those songs with anything CLOSE to the original power. Then, ADAM. I imagine QUEEN is as happy to find ADAM as ADAM is to get to sing with QUEEN. Oh, I so agree! You can see it in Brian's face throughout the whole performance. To have these amazing songs and then to have lost your frontman at such a young age... so sad. And it's not like anyone can just step in and sing these songs. It has to have been hard for them the past 20 years. I think Adam has done as much for them as they have done for him. It was one of the thoughts that made the tears flow last night! They have a mutual admiration society, for sure!

What I'm about to say might be really unpopular, but I wish that Adam fans didn't invade the Queen fanboard and start on their spiel. Its annoying and embarrassing. For once I want a discussion abt Adam be organic and left them discover the joys of Adam, instead of being bombarded with how Adam is the greatest singer etc. Ugh. ITA. Hopefully this isn't happening or if it does it's one or two ppl then stops. Ugh. Also IDK why ppl are so angsty today. I am seeing it all over twitter but I REFUSE to be angsty today. We got an AMAZING performance, new ppl discovering him, a lot of great praise and press from the event and a wacky crazy awesome Out 100 pic. Awesome. Yet I keep seeing ppl complaining how so and so wasn't mentioned in this article or this story and yadda yadda. Yeah that sucks but...the show must go on...Har har? No, srsly tho, Adam did this gig with the express desire NOT TO EVEN BE NAME DROPPED so I doubt he is feeling scorned for articles only mentioning the band Queen---and we should squee because for so long Queen insisted on always being Queen + <insert singers name here>--but that night they were just Queen. That's kind of a big deal and very complimentary to Adam. So we shouldn't feel scorned either. Of course a lot of articles are gonna focus their puff piece articles on Bieber and Gaga and whatnot--they did win the awards and whatnot--but who cares. Adam still got/is getting a lot of good press and attention out of this. I don't see how anyone can feel negative today, but it is fandom so I'm not surprised. So feel angsty if you must, I'm not one to tell you how to feel, but imma be in my bubble of squee WHERE EVERYTHING IS TECHNICOLOR COWBOYS AND NOTHING HURTS. OH also, if anyone has screen caps from the end of We Are the Champions when Adam is wailing away with Brian out at the end of the platform..I need these in mah life. I need to see the look on Brian's face bc from the vid it looks like he is loling his ass off and having a ball. Sooo cute. But too fuzzy on vid....need caps.

Well... I hope no one starts posting on the Queen forum...Today I saw that the DDD forum has been over run by some BSC fans.. which I personally find very embarassing My thoughts exactly!! : : I brought the DDD link to MJs a couple of years ago and now I hate that I ever did it. It was a place to go and read what OTHERS THOUGHT OF ADAM. The forum was comprised of a bunch of rock dudes talking about Adam's voice. It was an organic discussion and outside of the OTT musings of the Glambert crowd. But, Nooooooooooo, Glamberts just couldn't stand to leave well enough alone. Now the Adam thread at DDD is overrun with comments from a bunch of Adam stans. We had PLENTY of that on Adam fanboards, did they really have to take over the site where a bunch of rock dudes hung out?! Sorry for my rant- it's just so embarrassing. This is why we can't have nice things! >:(

This morning's edition of the Houston Chronicle had a small write-up about the EMAs (briefly mentioned Bieber, GaGa, Coldplay, S. Gomez, Bruno Mars, Eminem, Katy Perry) and they mentioned that Queen won the Global Icon Award and closed the show with a set of their classics - but no mention of Adam. :( This wasn't about Adam per se it's about Queen. If Adam gets mentioned that'sa bonus but shouldn't be expected or bemoaned if it doesn't happen. Queen is an iconic band with 40 years of making music. That was their performance, Adam brought it to life yes but it was theirs' and should be treated as such IMO.

Since I cannot get caught up after this incredible day/night/day I shudder to think what will happen to me when his single drops. I'll be left in the dust. I've been neglecting my storm-related stuff to flail. But this is about Adam (& Queen) not me! So:
OMG - Couldn't have been better! It was the performance the world has been waiting for so I just hope the music world wakes up and realizes what a gem exists in the person of Adam F. Lambert. Gawd - so weepy and so damn proud.

I die a little every time I see an obvious Lambert fan posting on another musicians/fanboard.

socialitelife.com/adam-lambert-queen-mtv-emas-11-2011?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitterAdam Lambert Performs With Queen At MTV EMAsNovember 7, 2011 6:29 am Does anybody even remember who actually won American Idol the year Adam Lambert was on? Yeah, us either. Mainly because Glambert keeps us glued to his controversy and leopard print pants. We live for that ish. Not to let anyone upstage him (even rock royalty), Adam closed out last night’s MTV European Music Awards in Belfast, Ireland alongside Queen and performed a medley of their hits like “Show Must Got On,” “We Will Rock You” and “We Are the Champions.” Adam rocked out in his signature sky-high mohawk, knee high platforms and leather trench. Make sure to check out the video of their performance after the jump, but not without scoping the gallery! Seriously, those stage faces of Adam’s are such a mix of pain and pleasure. Kind of like when Lindsay Lohan shows up to parties uninvited. (View the Gallery / 15 Photos ) Check out pic 10 on full size for a better look at the "knee pad" action. I think they are an attachment of some sort, just strapped around his knees. Now the pants look like the ones he wore with Alisan. Those pants had so many straps, maybe there were detachable knee pads that came with them. Does anyone have the designer site those pants were from. I know it was posted here once?
